    Good concept, poorly executed.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

I absolutely despise medical dramas. Most of them are dull, depressing and tonally grim. House, by way of miracle, is like the remedy for prescription drugs; with your average episode of Casualty being like your regularly dispensed antibiotic and your average episode of house being like your naturally home-brewed probiotic. The latter is great at helping you feel better without poking holes in your immune system and making you cry. And, for me, this is what it all comes down to. House is a show that's upbeat and clever. It's also educating and fun. The patients suffer from unusual diseases every episode and, consequently, the audience is left to piece together a mystery every week. This is what makes the show so fun. Most people watching are not going to be doctors or surgeons so the writers are depending on the uninformed viewer to be oblivious and sometimes even misguided. Not to mention of course the beating heart of the show: Dr House. The character of House is such fun to watch. He's quirky, somewhat arrogant and, for the most part, ahead of everyone else. So he's not your average doctor. And he's not your average man. BUT he's not simply a clever man and a clever doctor either. He's an intelligent man with complex emotionally issues buried beneath a hard outer shell. And this is the reason why I feel so attached to the show emotionally. Your weekly medical drama (i.e. Casualty) is going to be emotional as well, of course, but what House does so well is educate you while also investing you in a complex character. It will make you cry from time to time as well but, with a show like House, that's hardly a bad thing.

I had seen a couple of episodes of this gem when it aired, but for some reason, I didn't continue to watch. Well, I'm glad I didn't at the time, because waiting for a new season of this show would have been torturous! I watch the 8 seasons back to back in a span of 1 month. It's just that good. This show has everything... It has humor, sarcasm, definitely has drama but the most important components here are the magnificent character arcs and relationships. They're so complex but yet so perfect you just can't get enough of the dis-functionality! The writing is just sublime! This has become, by far, my favorite TV show. And it is the one I'll keep going back to whenever I feel like there's nothing worthy to watch.

A person is getting sick...(Music Dense and Intense) Another healthy person is around the sick person seeks help from the healthy one. IRONY! The healthier person falls extremely sick and the sick person's issue is magically cured. TITLES Appear! Sick person admitted and referred to Dr. house, who refuses the case as it is too simple. People try to convince him but he is adamant, his assistants finally gave up. Just when they were off convincing Dr. House exclaimed! he heard a symptom that suddenly convinces him. Now he takes the case. (Suraj Barjatiya music all around) Now Dr. House discusses symptoms / assumptions / diagnostics / and blah blah (mission impossible music in the back ground) Now Dr. House based upon his extreme ego and completely stupid assumptions start experimenting on the patient (its all legal in here) one failure, two failure, patient getting worse, patient about to die! What to do? What to do? Disciples blaming each other, disciples blaming Dr. House (OMG) (music all tense again) (Tom Cruise is about to spill a drop of his sweat on the hyper sensitive floor) Nothing is making sense still lets do the most complicated procedure on the patient. Operation Theatre all set! Doctors assembled... patient lying on the operating table, they are about to cut him open Voila! Dr. House had an epiphany. He stops everything! Everyone is furious... Dr. house gives the patient a cough syrup and the patient is OK!The same nonsense is repeated in every episode and they give a rating of 8.8!!! No wonder by the end of season 2 someone shot Dr. House or I would have shot my TV!!!

I am sad and disappointed because in one part a lovely rat was really put to death and cut open. No animal should be harmed in making TV- series, program or movie. Rats are specially intelligent, cute and social animals and need more respect as they receive. Rats don't eat people. I know them because I have had over 40 pet rats since I was young. Rats are very suitable pets for children also. And surely do not eat peoples lips or other parts (in case of famine also people can though eat other people). Otherwise I like House the character and Hugh Laurie the actor, too. I feel sympathy for House because he uses stick and it is good that he defends himself strongly and with amusing comments. I don't like the other main characters as much. Meny parts of the series are quite interesting.
