This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

In this day and age, it amazes me that Australian media still practices apartheid. An alien can watch this show and mistakenly believe that only white people live in NSW. Congratulations Australia for still being so racist in this day and age, when the rest of the world is deploring such blatant discrimination. And I checked the entire cast, and while I suppose it's possible that not every anglo sounding name might represent an actual white person (since many of the cast don't have profile pics), there certainly aren't any non-anglo names in the entire gigantic cast, except for the Samoan Reverend. This is relevant as a review, because to deny the existence of 20+% of Australia's population is quite disgusting, and no show should get lauded for this kind of discrimination in this day and age. This is not the 1960s. Fast forward 60 years Australia and join the rest of the world!!

This show has been around for years. It's been a success and now it's getting kinda boring. The acting isn't terrible but it isn't the best in the world. Most of the acting is good but some is just annoying and can make me cringe. The story lines used to be good, really good now it's just unrealistic, repetitive and just boring. Sure every season finale is packed with (unrealistic) drama which is worth a watch but most of the other story lines through the rest of the entire season is just annoying. It doesn't try and break the boundaries like it used to and it looks like the writers are trying too hard to be risky but end up failing. They have had only 1 storyline which I actually enjoyed back in 2012 (I think) where Rosie got raped. That felt realistic and was actually enjoyable. It wasn't filled with murders, gangs, annoying people complaining about minuscule problems or boring comical relief. Ever since then it has only had boring gangs, murder, violence, annoying love triangles and drug deals which were entertaining at first but it's filled with it now and it gets boring. I want to see story lines that teens face. They have teenage characters but only give them boring annoying primary school issues. By primary school I mean story lines that teens would just shrug off and kids in primary school would make a big deal out of. I want to see story lines such as Anorexia, homosexuality, peer pressure, child abuse, suicide, bullying/cyber bullying, self harm or teen pregnancies. I want to see that come into the show than maybe if give it another go.

Over and Over they go you will see that they have sex (including same sex relations), take drugs, kill people, steal, lie, cheat and show everyone how to be obnoxious, rude and downright careless for each other and wait for it they either get a stern talking to after saying sorry and do it all over again and they all this aired at 7PM every Monday to Friday….. No wonder our teenagers are having more sex and drugs and pretending to be bi-sexual on MySpace with their friends when they are only 13 years old. Sure some guys go to jail and some sort of moral story is told. But it's a total disgrace when 50% of the audience is less than 16 years of age without any parental supervision. If we just talk about the show you will see clearly that they are reading an auto-cue from the side and while some try to act others are just plain wooden at best. We had a crash scene that a person is blinded…. Due to his past terrors … sorry guys but this has been done on so many shows that it's not funny and you know what, I give it a month before he gains his sight again just like Desperate housewives. I can understand older people wanting to watch this soap and I can understand they can get over the ridiculous plots that make everyone sleep with everyone just like "the days of our lives" but I cannot understand how the TV Commission allows this to be on the time slot in Australia when it influence so many of today's youth.Ask yourself this question, how many other countries would allow this show in free to air TV before 8:30pm?

Having watched Home and Away since the early 1990s, I have been amazed at how some young talents have been developed and have, since leaving the show, found further success in Hollywood and other places with strong entertainment industry. It is wonderful how a show can provide entertaining Australian drama at the same time as being an avenue for aspiring actors and actresses to further their skills and create more opportunities. It has also been fantastic watching Kate Ritchie as she has grown up on the show. As I started watching when i was about 6 years old, she has been somewhat of a role model for me as i have watched her character's journeys, achievements and falls.I feel the issues covered by the story lines have been appropriate and informative for children, teenagers and adults alike. I think it is a good idea for shows like Home and Away to emphasise the importance of such issues, because they are sure to get the attention of viewers and are therefore able to educate people through somewhat exaggerated story lines which manage to get important points across.Overall, this show has definitely strengthened over the years and always manages to evoke a mixture of emotions through its suspenseful, exciting, tragic and blissful stories.I love this show, and wish the crew continued success for the future.
