    Purely Joyful Movie!

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

Well written series. Wonderful surprise to see William Shatner as the villain. The series finale fell flat though. You hope against hope for Audrey to return to Nathan for good and instead they had her come back as a different personality with the lame excuse given by the character Vincent that she wanted her and Nathan to fall in love all over again. Can we say "sucktastic"?! Why yes we can.

Haven has always been the type of show that was pretty good but it never really reached its full potential. The first three seasons defined the show well but once the fourth started everything turned a little sour and it lost the spark it once had.As a general concept Haven is new and fresh with a nice mystery thriller tone and a supernatural edge. It centres around a town that experiences "troubles" which may seem a little lame or strange but at least initially it worked. Each episode was different and focused on a new trouble. The overarching storyline was also intriguing but unfortunately since they changed the central characters I have lost interest.Overall the show started good but has gone downhill. The new direction the show is taking just isn't working for me but I guess it's still alright. Haven will probably always be a good but mediocre show. Watchable but nothing special.

I was browsing on Netflix for something to watch and stumbled upon Haven. I saw that it was based on "the Colorado Kid" by Stephen King and immediately knew that I had to give this show a try (I love Stephen King). Anyways, I would say that by the 3rd episode in Season 1 I started to really fall in love with the show. There is a good plot to the show and it definitely keeps you guessing. I think that most of the characters are great and well played, except for maybe a few weak links. With that said, I am currently losing interest in the show at the moment because I am starting to almost feel frustrated with it. For example, I do NOT like Nathan's character anymore....AT ALL. He was fine until season 3 when he just got to weird. For example, the episode were Duke and Nathan are sent back in time by a troubled person and while Duke is trying to figure out how to get back (and save Audrey's, or shall I say Sarah's, life) Nathan is sleeping with Sarah. Now if I was Audrey and I knew that, I would be so creeped out. It's just disturbing. Another example is when Nathan kills the barn because he is selfish and downright obsessed with Audrey. I know that you would technically do whatsoever you could to be with the one you love but I mean come on, not his decision and he ends up being responsible for a lot of deaths because of everyone's trouble not going away. I just don't like Nathan and Audrey's chemistry and wish that they never had those 2 characters fall in love. To me, it was way better when they were just partners who flirted a bit. I do however like Duke a lot. I think he is a great character and almost want to keep watching the show just to see where his storyline goes. I don't know though....I think Season 4 of Haven is a mistake so far and almost wish that it ended at season 3.By the way....why has no one mentioned the Colorado Kid yet? The barn is supposed to be destroyed yet Nathan and Audrey have not mentioned their son once...who was in the barn when it died. Did I miss something? Kinda hope Audrey does kill Nathan. Just saying.

i absolutely loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer growing up. and Stephen King's stories (one of which this series is based on) scared the hell out of me too. this show is a happy medium.Audrey, a snarky little blonde, bursts into a small, picturesque town; and, with her arrival coincides a bevy of supernatural problems - "the troubles." Audrey's sidekicks are not as diverse and witty as Buffy's were, but they grow on you. two elderly brothers, two tall-as-church-steeples best friends. there are no other female mainstays, which irks me a little (at least Buffy had Willow). Audrey is specially equipped to handle the troubles and the series unfolds from this premise with the important questions being "how do the troubles begin?" and "how do the troubles end?" my little brother, who loves all things supernatural, suggested i watch the series. i have been bingeing it on Netflix and what do you know?... i like it. the leading lady can be a bit of a drone at times, but her partners Nathan and Duke keep things interesting. it's funny though, because Nathan is someone who can't physically feel, yet he displays more feelings than Audrey every episode. that alone is interesting.
