The greatest movie ever made..!
... View MoreOne of the worst movies I've ever seen
... View MoreThis is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
... View MoreClose shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
... View MoreI only watched Season 1.It started strong, then quickly devolved into soap opera melodrama and nonsense posing as pseudo-science. Good points: Interesting mystery at the beginning, and some good drama resulting from people coming back from the dead. Well acted. Bad points: The ridiculous nonsense they try to pass off as science seems only thrown in there as a cheap prop to play their dramas against. They don't even pretend to try to explain anything in any way that is even coherent, much less believable. Every character who supposedly knows something about what is going on refuses to say anything about it beyond cryptic gibberish. The few crumbs they kind of 'explain' toward the end are either incredibly stupid or so vague and generic as to be meaningless. This is not the actual explanation they give (no spoiler) but it is on this level of quality: "We can regenerate a perfect, living, functional human body from a single cell using this special chemical. But to make it a real person we have to regenerate their memories by whistling at them in the right frequency. And the universe thinks reanimating bodies is wrong, so it's going to spontaneously reanimate some other bodies to fix the problem." If you can ignore that level of lousy excuse for an explanation and just want to enjoy a good drama, you might enjoy this show. Most of it is actually pretty good.
... View MoreWas looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across this. Absolutely loved it and hope there will be a Season 3!!
... View MoreSo I watched this show when it was added to Netflix in season 1. It was worth checking out the second season but wasn't expecting much. Boy did this change second season. It became very intense, raising huge amounts of questions. This was similar to Lost, except they actually provide answers to questions. Second season I would rate close to 9. The first season is closer to 6. If you want an interesting show, that continuously gets better, that is also on Netflix, this is the show for you. Don't give up on this show. The second season is both crazy and intense. It is way better than the first season. If you don't like the first season or crazy twists don't watch it. Also the Australian element I personally loved.
... View More...are the terrible editing and ludicrous dialog. There are no end to scenes in this series that jump from one moment to the next that contradict previous scenes. For example, in S2 E1, Kate meets a guy at a lake she's swimming in who comes clearly out of nowhere. They start to chat, She seems clearly uncomfortable and puts on her shirt. Cut to another scene. Cut back to the lake scene and she has no shirt on and the guy she was clearly trying to avoid and she are buddy-buddy having a comfy "chat." Lame dialog: James and Sarah are talking next to their newborn in the hospital room...James: "You almost died Sarah." Sarah: "No biggie." James: "that's because you don't remember it, but I do." Sarah: "Ok. No, I was standing in this long dark tunnel..." You get the idea. Stupid, vapid, lame and also meant to be a joke they are sharing. Dumb.
