After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
... View MoreThe movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
... View MoreThe movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
... View MoreA movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
... View MoreLisa Whelchel doesn't look like Edward Ruttle's mother. She looks like Antonio Cupo's mother! I mean really, if you feel the need to cast a much older woman, use someone gorgeous like Jane Seymour! At least that would be more believable. I just couldn't get past it. Other than that Antonio Cupo was lovely as usual. Reviewers talking about "incest" because the children were getting married, are being absurd. If the kids grew up together, they might be in some serious need of therapy. Even then, however, it's still not incest. The only problem with the parental figures ever getting married is the fact that Lisa Whelchel could have actually given birth to Antonio Cupo! Definitely pass on this if you've just eaten!
... View MoreI was looking forward to watching this movie. I have liked everything that I have seen Antonio Cupo in. The leads were all wrong! To have a 50+ plus woman have a 13 yrs. younger boyfriend and then started a relationship with a 15 yrs. younger man just didn't seem right in this movie. In some cases it would be okay but not in this case. Antonio Cupo is a hunk and can pass for much younger, whereas Lisa Whelchel looks older than she is---and those suits and shrill voice! Please! All wrong! A disappointment all the way through! Lisa came through as a control freak---even ended up planning their wedding so the young couple didn't even have a say in that.
... View MoreHallmark produced another delightful family movie, which I enjoyed from beginning to end. That is why I gave it a big 10. I would see this movie over and over. What could be better than a wedding planner doing business next to a divorce attorney? The story evolves into a love relationship between the two owners trying to guide their children in life who are planning to marry. The script was totally imaginative, comical and exciting. The acting was perfect and heartfelt. The only concern I had was that Wendy was much older than Marco. Marco was handsome and charming, but I think he was too young for Wendy. The happy ending was the icing on the cake.
... View MoreThis has to be the worst film (if you can even call it that) ever! The acting was wooden as if they were not even trying, there was no depth to the characters and to be honest I have seen more convincing kid's nativities. The story line was predictable and flat and the age gap between the characters was plain weird. I joined IMDb today with sole purpose of warning people so they don't have to suffer like I did. I am at a loss to see how this was ever released and can't imagine anyone enjoying this except to laugh at it. My advice would be to spare yourself the agony, maybe go to work because trust me that will be more entertaining!
