Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

Falling skies was a great show! I was so upset when I found out it was getting canceled and I had high hopes that another network would pick it up (syfy?) But it's been years now and nothing.

To sum it up:Season 1: very good Season 2: decent Season 3: so-so Season 4: bad, just bad (too much family drama) Season 5: didn't even watch itA show that started really well, but slowly became a soap opera family drama. I can't understand how could the writing become so bad from one season to another. Shame...

Really enjoyable arcs, but I thought the end could have been paced better and ended slightly more believably. Not that aliens of all sorts of kinds aren't already a bit unbelievable, but the computer graphics took over big time at the end and I was hoping for something slightly more mind-bending.

Basically a soap opera with aliens. The human characters do not even act like real people, more like 6th graders with more hormones than brains. Noah Wyle, who plays the main dude, often mumbles his lines and cannot be understood. Every one of the cast way overacts their part. 80% of the story is just sappy sentimentalism. The remaining 20% had enough good special effects and action to keep me interested through a majority of the episodes, that is until the aching mediocrity just became too painful for me to endure any more of it. How did Steven Spielberg get involved with this embarrassment, anyway?
