This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

A masterclass of writing with an animation style that stands the test of time. The jokes work for adults and kids alike. Avast Ye' Eds, Dawn of the Eds, Know it All Ed and Robbin' Ed are testaments to this. Ed is the embodiment of its humor. Non-Sequiturs galore that make you laugh every time you see it. "I am a zombie and will malice you with a shoehorn" is still my favorite quote. As a true fan, this is the best show Cartoon Network made. The down to earth nature, with the childlike wonder works so well. Just watch seasons 1-4 and you will not regret it. So grab your Canadian squirt gun, bathtub of gravy, pet chicken and your favorite character, Plank. For a show that I personally have gone back and watched on multiple occasions, all the jokes still make me bust an udder. Mama, the Fairy Tales that haunt Rolf have come back.

Ed, Edd n Eddy -- Cartoon Network's longest-running original series -- delves into the colorful idiosyncrasies of childhood through an absurdist lens. The principal storyline revolves around a socially excluded threesome and their oft-failed attempts at purchasing scrumptious jawbreakers via swindling the other kids in the cul-de-sac.Our protagonists, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, are friends with each other for no other reason than the simple fact that nobody else wants to be friends with them. Ed is the village idiot of the group, a dim-witted daydreamer who's on numerous occasions, unfortunately, on the receiving end of his spoiled baby sister's (Sara) wrath. Edd is the intellectual one, the ingenious gadget designer guiding the technical workings of the trio's scams, and the only one who commands some semblance of respect from his peers. Eddy is the self-proclaimed leader who brainstorms these misbegotten plans in the first place. He's hated by pretty much everyone. Together with Kevin, Rolf, Nazz, Jimmy, the Kanker sisters and Plank, they form the complete set of characters on the show.Absurdist humor works best under situations that completely defy the conventional functioning of causal reasoning. This can be done so by deliberately centering the joke around an implausible, ridiculous, nonsensical, senseless event in such a manner that its final outcome evokes laughter out of bewilderment. The joke subverts our expectations as the punchline comes from a realm different from the one we presume the joke is occurring in (think of a Chuck Norris joke). That's precisely why I believe that the setting of the show is a stroke of genius by Danny Antonucci. The cul-de-sac, governed by its own forces and rules, is a bizarre land for a plethora of reasons. Aside from the construction site, every location looks and feels the same to the extent that it'd be pretty easy to get lost in this secluded suburbia of spatial anomalies. In fact, without the sporadic trumpet beats keeping the viewer company it would feel like a rather lonely place. For instance, even though their presence is acknowledged, why are the adult characters never visible on-screen? How does everything run like clockwork without their supervision? Why are the characters the only kids living in the area? Does Plank actually come to life every now and then? But of course, to ponder over such questions would be to miss the point of this brilliant show. The illogical surroundings are purposely designed the way they are so as to equip the characters with their very own peculiarities. Ed's eccentric utterances and gravy puns, the dynamic between Johnny and Plank, Rolf's anecdotes about his former shepherd life, Kevin's obsession with his jock image -- all this wouldn't be as laugh-out-loud funny if not accentuated by the iconic setting. It only makes sense to create an environment that could harbor such uniqueness; one that's as surreal as its inhabitants' imaginations.Above all else, the show is about the carefree aimlessness of childhood. It's a glorious period, really. Still sheltered from vice, we can live in our very own dream worlds where time is stagnant (or at least feels so). Ed, Edd n Eddy makes me want to revisit those days of heaven and wish they had never ended.

This show is truly an underrated masterpiece. It's hilarious, lovable, and some of the best writing in Television. Why? Well, where to begin...The show is about three kids named Ed, Edd, and Eddy and their shenanigans. Most episodes revolve around Ed Edd and Eddy coming up with scams to make money to buy jawbreakers. With a simple concept, you expect the show to be predictable, right? Wrong. This show takes twists and turns and never leave you knowing what's going to happen next. The art design is great and similar to Ren and Stimpy, but the show's nowhere near as surreal. (Though they do have plenty of surreal humor). The characters are all very memorable in different ways and they all have very different personalities. The writing is really clever, especially for a simple kid's show. But I think my favorite part about the show is how everything is done in Modesty. No joke goes on too long. No gag is overused and everything is subtle. I absolutely love it.Final Thought. This is the most underrated show of all time, and I can't believe it's not brought up as much as it should be. And it's definitely the greatest Cartoon Network show ever.

Let's face it, Ed Edd n Eddy has got to be the coolest show I've ever seen in my whole life. It's a cartoon recommended for those of you people who don't hate the show period, or hates cartoons in general. Anyway My favorite EEnE Character is Ed because his jacket is my favorite color he makes me laugh all the time. My number enjoyable thing about Ed is his signs of aggressive behavior displayed in "Little Ed Blue" where he temporarily has a bad mood all because of a pebble in his show! ha ha it gets funnier and better after every episode in my opinion, Also, Ed is the Brawns of the trio and seems to lack any intelligence. Double D is the Brains because of his outstanding knowledge, inventing, and obsession with sticky notes (that his parents has labeled for him which are never shown like any of the "other people"), I kinda felt bad for him in "A Fistful of Ed" where everyone thinks of him as a "bully" probably because of the confrontation with Lee after she and her sisters interrupted the egg hatching class which Double D was the Teacher assistant or something i don't know. And Eddy is a boy with a desire for cash for the purpose of buying him and his friends their favorite candy Jawbreakers! however after every attempt in almost every single episode of the show their scams are down the drain, because of an unfortunate mishap. It's a shame that this show has ended because of my intense interest in Ed Edd,n Eddy. but hey, the show had to end sometime. It's better than most of the new trash on CN, like MAD, Out of Jimmy's head, and Annoying Orange. Overall I would give this show a 10/10 for the being the best! Thanks Antonucci for all of your hard work you've put in to create such a brilliant show. ED EDD, N EDDY FOREVER!!
