Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

When I think of the absolute best shows ever put on air, I think of names like:The X Files The Big Bang Theory Californication Eastbound & Down(Yes David d. - we know - you get cast in great roles and pull it off damn well)If you don't want to get hooked on following a show, look elsewhere, cuz this is a great f****** show - and this is coming from a guy who writes comedy for funny or die - so yes, I have superb tastes already! Now go pop some popcorn, write "Anchorman 2" on your list of upcoming movies to keep an eye open for, and grab season 1 on this fine piece of programing and EnjoI

Kenny Powers (who appears to be based on John Rocker) is such a selfish lowlife that I often found myself hating him…still you can't help but enjoy watching McBride in full A-hole mode, crashing and burning in pure rock-star fashion, and leading an awesome supporting cast, including the wonderfully curvy and sexy Katy Mixon. Season 3 is not as funny as the first two (although there are still some very funny episodes), but you need to watch this series for its pure pop-culture value…I guarantee it won't be long before you're yelling "You're f**king out!" at random people. For more reviews and a kickazz podcast, check out www.livemancave.com

If you look at DSM IV criteria of narcissistic personality disorder Kenny Powers has it all: a grandiose sense of self-importance, fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, ideal love, believes that he is "special" and unique, requires excessive admiration, has a sense of entitlement, is interpersonally exploitative, is often envious of others, believes others are envious of him and definitely shows arrogant, haughty behaviors and attitudes. So, if you wonder what they mean when they say someone is a narcissist, here you have a fairly good example of what they have in mind. It's amazing how this deeply narcissist and egoistic character can be so lovable in all of his inflated egoism and insecurity. What makes him understandable and human, is that with all his endless faults he seems to be capable of feeling empathy, he has an inbuilt sense of right and wrong and feels the need to face his issues and improve as a person. Also, he doesn't mean bad, he just don't know any better. What makes is interesting is that certainly doesn't hide his emotions. But still, his life is most definitely about him and his appearances. Kenny Powers is child-like, but fun.

This show is above and beyond what it deserves to be. What ought to be a dumb fun Danny McBride, Will Ferrell produced sports comedy vehicle is in fact a work of television genius. I am in love with this show. Every slow motion musical moment, every scene filled with such beautiful comedy and affecting drama. It is cast impeccably, each scene judged to perfection, and the score drifts you along, deep under it's trance. Each episode continues on from the last as if it were a 3 hour movie, and this, I feel, is how it is best viewed. I can not rate it highly enough. I only wish I could live forever, perhaps rather sadly in the warm glow of this series. It is an instant favourite. If you want your life to be better, watch this show. I only hope there are people out there who can enjoy it on the level that I did.Just glorious.
