This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Dragon ball z is great but they made too many episodes.(spoiler alert) For instance it takes like 5 episodes for the planet namike to explode.I think in the original version it ran year round. But I don't know oif they did that hear.Overall I'd have to say that this is a okay series but I'd reccomend you watch dragon ball gt.

Now, when I first saw this show advertised on Cartoon Network, I was like, "This is so stupid". But I really forgave the show, and after I started becoming more involved and learning about the plot, I have come to the conclusion that this is an enjoyable show. The thing is, in order to like it, you need to learn to accept the "alternate-world" to enjoy it. And yes, a lot of people are right. The fights last for many episodes, and the villians never seem to die, and such. But there's so many complex characters all with different backgrounds and personalites, that you kind of forget it. I mean, if you want to see an anime with repetiveness and confusion, see that dang "Yu-Gi-Oh!".With the arrogance of Vegeta, the smart-aleckyness of Trunks and Goten, and the funny child-like character of Mr. Buu/Fat Buu, it's quite enjoyable. The villians are cool, and it's nice when they find a villian that's really so evil they're entertaining.(especially Babidi, he's such a wicked little troll^_^?) Although I was wondering how many times they would have Vegeta become GOOD before he actually BECAME GOOD, he is indeed one of the finest characters. I'm glad they did alot with him, though I wished they'd do more, such as tell how he married Bulma. Anyway, try to catch it. "Dragonball GT" sounds stupid, but I'll have to watch it sometime. An 8/10.

I don't know what the big deal was about there being english dubbing in Dragonball Z. I'd rather watch Dragonball Z dubbed AND with some of the scenes cut out then try to figure what they are saying in it was in its original format. Who wants to try to figure out what they're saying when it's in another language? I know I don't! I find this to be a better anime cartoon than any other one I've seen because of the deep storyline and martial arts action. So who cares if it carrys on like a soap opera? I'd rather watch THIS kind of soap opera than those you see on stations like ABC, CBS, and NBC. I also like the fact that this cartoon picks up off five years later after the original Dragonball. To me, that makes it more interesting. I give this show high ratings and I hope there will be another Dragonball series that carries on after Dragonball Z (I don't consider Dragonball GT to be a REAL continuation of Dragonball Z).

Plotline: Bad. Very, very terribly bad. Somehow, it's doesn't really matter. Characters: Excellent. It's impossible to dislike Goku. It's impossible to dislike Vegeta, too, after a while. Every character is individual, and very colourful. My favourite being Supreme Kai.Voice Acting (English Dubbed): Bad. The voices change in the middle of the Frieza Saga and again in the start of the Android Saga. It's impossible to say one positive thing about the voice acting.Animation: Ranges wildly. Very good at the start, slack in the Frieza Saga and absolutely ROCK BOTTOM in the Cell Saga. I could do a better job, and I'm not known for my artistic prowess. However, it picks up again and is top notch for the Buu saga.Entertainment: The fights often go on for episodes upon episodes, and become terribly boring after a while. The fights, however, are usually very entertaining and remarkably well animated. It is a very humourous and sometimes quite sad anime, but not top of the pile.End result: 7/10. Not as good as Tenchi Muyo, but not as bad as The Wannabees.
