Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Danger 5 is a comedy series from Australia (created by Alrugo Entertainment who also made the movie Italian Spiderman) which attempts to be similar in style to movies like Airplane and Top Secret sprinkled with humor from movies like Team America. It is dry and self- satirical in the form of humor. The show revolves around the World War II era with Nazi's, Hitler, English and American spies working with the French Underground. There is a deliberate attempt to make things look terrible in the show and the writing is also cheesy in the same sense. Such as the talking German shepherds robot dogs, which I found the funniest part of the first episode. There are other classic scenes peppered through out the series and Susanna Dekker is a drop dead, breath taking woman but her beautiful pair of sensuous, perky eyes are not enough to make the series worthwhile. The direction and script attempt too strenuously to be terrible. What this show is lacking is social and political humor. Such as Team America which has no political correctness. Monty Python which has no limits on finding absurdities in politics and society.Danger 5 is bi-polar and doesn't know if it is a comedy or a drama. It tries to be both and it doesn't allow the actors to reach the climax of their abilities. The writing isn't the problem, it is the directing.Yes, I get the silliness but every scene is the exact same feel. You can't do the same over and over again through the series. After a while it becomes monotone. Danger 5 has only one gear and ends up being a slow and boring. 2/10 stars.

WARNING: If you do not enjoy corny and hilarious effects, story, and all out production, this is NOT for you.Danger 5 is split upon 2 series. Series 1 is based upon World War 2, using a 60's style of filming it. A team named Danger 5 is set out to kill Adolf Hitler, and in doing so brings them to many bizarre places. Each character is based from a different country, which makes them unique in ways.Series 2 is set in an 80's theme. The now-split up Danger 5 lives their lives until Hitler resurfaces and has a new master plan to conquer the Post World War 2 era. This show is amazing and I highly recommend it if you enjoy cheesy hilarious comedy action.

Creators Dario Russo and David Ashby first caught my attention with their International Spiderman! series, the online adventures of, well, Italian Spiderman, a hilarious spoof of action, science fiction and horror '70s movie. What I loved especially about that show was the accuracy of the period - they even used a 16mm camera to capture the feel of this 'lost film'.With Danger 5 they're carving a unique niche for themselves as satirists of '60s and '70s pop culture, TV shows and cinema. The series follows the five members of a special team on their missions in an absurd version of World War II, where Adolf Hitler has created a way of sexually transmitting Nazism!, has armed intelligent dinosaurs, has turned POWs into super-robots, operates from Casablanca-like clubs, has almost stolen all the world's monuments, and is protected by invulnerable diamond girls. At the start of every episode the team is briefed by the eagle-headed Colonel, whose bullying of Claire, a stuck-up British officer, is always hilarious, as is his constant reminder that their mission is to 'kill Hitler!" Each member basically plays to national stereotypes: there's Jackson, the gung-ho American; Pierre, the joyful French who befriends everyone and makes mean martinis; Tucker, the square-jawed, all-American hero; and Ilsa, the tough-as-nails sexy Russian. They're all excellently played by a team of newcomers, who show great talent in playing their characters badly. Everything in the series is supposed to be bad and corny, from the acting to the absurd dialogue, down to the fake and cheap-looking sets and props. Likewise the Italians are all festive people, the British are all stiff upper lips, and regarding the Swiwss, well, we find out their blood is actually made of money. No surprise there really. Also excellent is Carmine Russo as Adolf Hitler. Hitler hasn't been used this comically since The Producers. There's a running gag about Hitler and a window that never feels stale. If you like spoofs of old shows, or if you're into the absurd humor of The Mighty Boosh, you ought to give Danger 5 a look. Its seven episodes won't disappoint.

Comedy shows can take a while to find their feet but DANGER 5, an international group hell bent on taking down those damn Nazis and their nefarious plans, hits the ground running, shooting and punching. It has the look and feel of a 60's show even to go as far as having cheap looking sets and 'bad' special effects. The hard stereotyped cast play it (mostly) straight which allows the show to be camp, but not overly so.The laughs are hard & frequent and the action is fast paced, you never know what's coming next.If you like girls, guns, espionage, Hitler's dog and the perfect recipe for a Fruit Madrid, then this is the show for you.I've only seen the first two episodes but if the writers manage to keep this level of pace and comedy throughout the season, it's going to be a show that everyone will be talking about.
