Purely Joyful Movie!
... View MoreJust perfect...
... View MoreThe performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
... View MoreAmazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
... View MoreVery thrilling and fascinating , really loved the actors and the plot. Shame it's not being continued ..
... View MoreThis series had everything. Art, creativity, directing, acting and.... Shame it has ended. At the end, it looked like that story could go on but unfortunately it stopped and I never realized why they didn't continue. I hoped for more, maybe at least 5 seasons and really got upset when realized it's not being made anymore.
... View MoreI have watched a few hundred different TV shows so far and let me tell you, this one, completely captured my attention since it started airing. - It doesn't happen often for me to re watch a season, but I did watch the 1st season 7-8 times in a row. -If you simply ignore the bad reviews, written by people who wanted historical facts and give it a chance, you can see it all for yourselves. The soundtrack is made by probably the best TV Series composer - Bear Mccreary and as always, the music fits perfectly in all of the scenes. The acting is beautiful, the plot is magnetic, mysteries and conspiracies, along with great twists. It is filmed very well and the choreography in all of the scenes is right on the spot. - Da Vinci's character is immediately likable, an intelligent inventor who often tends to get in trouble gives a great premise and his character as such is very believable. Out of all the series I have watched I can't compare it to none. I love this genre, it also has a hint of fantasy in it, but unlike other shows, there are simply no boring parts, let alone episodes. -There is also something magical about it which is hard to explain, but it is guaranteed to inspire anyone who watches it. -This is a show that you will most probably re watch. - Perhaps Game Of Thrones is a fancy show, with a great number of fans before it even started, mostly because of the books and some really shallow reasons - like naked men and women, but in the end, a show like that starts to get boring and gets dragged on forever, whereas Da Vinci's Demons has a total of 28 episodes in 3 seasons and every second is spectacular. Absolutely every episode's ending will surely make you eager, with longing and wonder about what comes next. - This show is so underrated and will definitely surprise you if you simply give it the chance it clearly deserves... - OK, this is what I wanted to add to this review: - After reading many negative reviews who gave it 1 star I just wanted to say that, most of this people, didn't even watch the show, maybe only the 1st episode. They started watching it with the belief it is and already determined it will be bad, which is very far from the truth. -The least stars it should realistically get from haters is 6 of 10. - They all keep on going about the historical inaccuracy, when that is so far from what the show itself claimed to be - One of the best adventures on TV, with excellent drama and some fantasy involved to make it more entertaining and all of it within the limits and right amounts... - The last straw was when I saw the only reviews for season 3 episode 2... - They seem to be from 3 different people all saying the same thing. - They all gave it 1 star where one even said that they loved the show, yes loved it, up to that point. I need to mention the spoilers in order to make my point, so if you don't want spoilers, stop reading here!!! _______________________________________________________________-SPOILERS: - In the episode mentioned above, there was an Ottoman invasion of Otranto... -Toward the end of the episode, the survivors were given the chance to convert to the Islamic faith if they want to survive and that is exactly what is believed to have happened - see Google for more. - The silly reviews stated: - THAT IS NOT Islam ... - They probably failed to get the message, from the beginning of the show: - " History is a lie " - Perhaps they never heard of it and thus didn't agree with it. -I mean, it is natural for all believers to protect and say only good things about their religions, but you are watching a TV SHOW, not a bloody documentary. Even if the invasion itself never happened, that is not a reason to down vote a spectacular and controversial genius of a TV SHOW... -In the end, their reasons are very similar - the bad voting is due to ignorance ( people who wanted historical facts in a show that was meant to be entertaining and inspiring, but also spiritual and enlightening fun ride which it is )... -These are the biggest pathetic reasons why this show currently has 8.1 on IMDb and they all went simply too far from the real subject in question...
... View MoreAs long as you turn your brain off, the show is watchable, but nothing more. The main problem for me is not that the show doesn't care about being historically accurate at all (although I admit, the guards dressed as Spanish civil guards of the 20th century, the flying pigeon and Isabelle of Castile wearing a comb were way too much for me), the problem is that they try to mix some fun, lighthearted scenes with Leonardo creating and inventing wonderful things with dark, gritty scenes about politics with Assassin's Creed 2 and it doesn't work. At all.And the result is a show that doesn't quite know what it wants to be: a fun show about Leonardo solving mysteries and problems using his brains and imagination like BBC's Sherlock? a show about the cut-throat politics of Italy during the Renaissance like The Borgias? a magical show about mystical orders full of secret knowledge like BBC's Merlin? I don't think even the creators knew. So, if you want just something to watch and not think, this show is alright. But if you want a good TV show, with interesting plots and characters, this show is a hard no.
