I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

Like the film, a mid-level CIA analyst, stumbles into the deepest reaches of dark operations, which results in all of his co-workers being killed. Not only is he on the run, but his boss, is convinced that someone in the CIA has to be responsible. So, there are endless conspiracies and the villains are a bit on the nose. It isn't turn off your brain dumb, but it isn't gritty realism either. Although the show looks very slick, especially in the beginning, the script towards season finale falls into every amateur trap you can imagine. After all, this is an adaptation of an adaptation, so something definitely was lost in translation.Promising start, average ending.6/10 ... just because of William Hurt.

Great actors. Max Irons is such a gifted actor, I love this show because it's a great story with lots of suspense. Can't wait for season 2!

Let's get this out of the way: I have not seen Three Days of the Condor or read the novel, Six Days of The Condor, so there is no reference baseline for the review. For the most part, the series is an intelligent, well written timewaster with decent performances from Brendan Fraser and William Hurt. As a bonus, I got a kick with identifying various Toronto locations that filled in as Washington DC.

The evil military contractor is called White Sands, you know like Black Water. That is the level of subtlety you can expect from Condor. I got about halfway through episode two so maybe it gets better but I doubt it. Issues such as; globalisation, the clash between liberalism and traditionalism, terrorism, religion and secularism, etc. are complex and multilayered but this show seems to be another simplistic take on them.
