Pretty Good

Excellent but underrated film

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

I just finished watching the most recent season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and, aside from the episodes meeting all my expectations, the final episode gave me such a joyous reflection on comedy as an art that i couldn't help but share my opinion on this series. Jerry Seinfeld's episode with Jerry Lewis stands as one of the greatest comedic time capsules of any in recorded history. Not only did it show off his guest's obvious comedic talent, but it provided both a link and record to and of comedy's past. This show provides a unique and honest look into comedy as an art form, and as such, I think it deserves such accolades.

I watched about 3 and a half episodes in. I had a hard time getting past the self-indulgence of the show. As others have mentioned, it's not very funny for a show focused on comedians, not that that is the point of the show. It is watchable, but I could not stand Jerry's ego and had to stop. It overall just seemed a little overly pretentious.

I rarely review but felt I had to today. Incredible guests, terrible show. I'm sorry but this feels awkward and Jerry Seinfeld does not come across well. Comedy bits aside, it felt like I was watching people having to laugh at their Dad's jokes while trying to ignore the basic 'I don't understand any other country than America' tone. I know it's a giant ad bit with these golden guests, how could it go so wrong.

Why does the pour of every single liquid sound the same?! Every time there is a clip of someone pouring coffee (and it happens a lot) it is the exact same sound effect. Every. Time. But the rest of the show is great.
