everything you have heard about this movie is true.
... View Moren my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
... View MoreI am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
... View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
... View MoreFeels like it's trying to be Brothers and Sisters. And failing. For instance, there's a family with 5 kids for a start. One a lawyer, one in Afghanistan. One with two kids. It goes on... The guy who plays the dad was even in Brothers and Sisters and that was years before this series. The main difference though is that the characters in Brothers and Sisters were likeable. These aren't. You like the main girl. And her kids, her sisters to an extent, and her Dad. But the gran has the most annoying accent ever and constantly talks about religion. The little brother acts like he's a teenager constantly and is just annoying with his childish pranks while pretending to be a lawyer. They don't feel like a family at all. There's one scene around a camp fire where they seem connected. Other than that, not at all. It doesn't feel like they know each other, never mind grew up together. The best thing about this so far is Jesse metcalfe's character because you feel like you connect with him. He's fun and smiles a lot. The others don't. I don't think I've seen many of them laugh at all. It's very slow and usually, you have to take the bad with the good. But this is all bad. It's too dramatised. Family have ups and downs, not just downs. There has to be a balance for it to be a good show. And this unfortunately misses the mark. My advice... watch Brothers and Sisters instead. It's a million times better!
... View MoreAs someone who grew up on the Chesapeake and moved away, I started watching this hoping to see familiar sights of my beloved Bay. It's filmed in Canada. I won't go into how this makes me feel, but suffice to say, I don't think they should be allowed to call it "Chesapeake shores" and not go anywhere near the Chesapeake. The show is okay, but not original or good enough that I got engrossed enough to see past that. I'm a pretty easy sell, so that's... really fairly bad.
... View MoreThis is a really great TV show. It not only contains love and also the bond between the family. We can see how Abby faces her new situation and her relationship between her Trace, her daughters, her father, and her whole family. Whenever they face a new problem, it never is easy. But eventually, they come to a happy ending with everyone using love and care to solve the problems. It's somehow touching.Really like the relationship between Trace and Abby. They were awkward at first, but they happen to forgive each other and finally get to admit that they still belong to each other no matter what had happened to them.
... View MoreIt has been a long time since there has been a show that everyone can enjoy and this show fills the bill. It is my hope that this series will continue since you have us all very attached to the characters and story theme. I look forward to Sunday 9:00 p.m. and don't want to lose my enthusiasm! I enjoy the relationship between family members and how they all react differently to their parent's early separation--as viewers who have had similar situations can truly relate. I also love that you included the grandmother role--she's great--strong but kind! The parents both show strength and caring toward the family. I like that there is always a musical segment with Jesse Metcalf!
