It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The story has heart, and the seeking justice aspect had me hooked. Kristen Kruek has found an excellent character to portray, and has already evolved from a slick lawyer to a redeemed defender. The entire cast is excellent.

It took a few episodes to settle in to this, but I got totally hooked! Kristin Kreuk is a fine actress and I liked the character of Joanna. Alex Carter ( I loved him in Black Harbour) boy, can he do a good nasty b-tard! Good plot with characters you can actually care about. Give me more!Changed my rating to 10/10t

I can't believe I wasted an hour watching this show, but it was Canadian and I thought it would get better. Is this the sort of thing we can expect form the CBC for Canadian content? Is the CBC getting too much of our tax dollars with what the Liberals are giving them and they are wasting it on this type of production. The concept would be good IF they had better writers AND better actors.

Tired of generic theme American shows. BofT gives Canadian actors/actresses a chance to show their talents. The CBC 2018 Olympics doesn't help the BofT viewership, will we tune back or lose interest ???My predictions for the future plot : Joanna's mother is part Native. David Hadley is partly responsible for the toxic drums' burial in the soccer field as he was consulting Henry at the Steel Mill. David had to leave Millwood because he commiitted Joanna's mother to the psych ward and because he fathered Joanna's half sister from an affair. Joanna will stay in Millwood to fight for Native rights and hook up with Billy to start an associated law firm.
