It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

Season1 had it's ups and downs, making me wonder about many things regarding the series. But if you can get pass questions such as "where do they get all the money to stage a Mirror Jury in their offices" and "how do they find a Mirror Jury" and "does this actually work" then this show has an interesting premise: How can someone manipulate the jury to his own advantage. The pilot wasn't that good, but you need to see it just to understand the concept of the Mirror Jury. The cast is a cliche bunch of people with "superpowers", like the unstoppable FBI agent and the omniscient hacker but the actual challenge are the cases themselves. To get on top, Dr. Bull has to use his brain and take many risks in order to shift the jurors minds and opinions. So in essence, this series is about challenges, riddles and mind games, where the protagonist doesnt have to worry about any trivial everyday stuff. It's like a videogame in a way. And it's fun.Season 2 had mostly good cases. To be honest, I never thought this would has a 2nd season, but I'm glad it did because it's so much better then season 1. I thought the Jury gimmick would get old and there wouldnt be many interesting cases, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. There is always something new and refreshing to challenge Dr. Bull... from celebrity trials where the jurors already have an opinion, to small town courts where everyone knows everybody, to lawyers who make mistakes when they ask the jurors questions. As cocky as Dr. Bull appears to be, there is almost always a desperation moment where he tries to find a solution. And it feels rewarding in the end.I give it an 8 because I caught my self wanting to see another great season of these court challenges and the cast is not annoying in the slightest. I just wish the FBI girl would have a bigger role (she just works in the background) and the blond chick.. not sure what's her role in there but she is the most cheerful character.

I looked watching this show for a while but I couldn't handle the Bull character always being 'right'. The arrogance of it and the sometimes sanctimonious way the character is, wore on me, so I stopped watching it. I can recommend the first 5 episodes or so, and if you have the patience to handle arrogance and self righteousness from a character who is always right every episode, then you may love this show.

Having watched the entire season 1, I didn't much care if there was to be a season 2. It had been a bit too much 'in your face' American tat, raised a level by Michael Weatherly, who's a real pro, but shouldn't have invested his talent in this . Stars should always, I believe, ask themselves a question before they take a part: if I wasn't in it, would it fly? Without Michael, Bull wouldn't, and the latest one to air. The Illusion Of Control, was rubbish. The so-called legal claim against Bull had no merit even if one did suspend disbelief to the point where you're unconscious. There was no contract, it was merely personal advice for which I assume there was no payment. So free advice which she has legal experts to go over. Why didn't the star sue them? Answer: they're not on TV. Complete rot, an insult to your intelligence with even Monsieur Weatherly floundering to spit out some rubbish words that were supposed to convey his anger. You do that by acting, mate? There are any number of scenarios in which Michael Weatherly could prosper. Teaming up with Cote De Pablo would be brilliant, as long as it was as well scripted and plotted as was NCIS. I hope the guy gets to read this. He's a star. Doesn't need to stoop to conquer, just rise to the occasion.

Season one was good but season two is excellent. I like the way it incorporates more of the personal lives of the characters. NCIS use to be my number one show, it has slipped a bit lately but being followed by Michael Weatherly's new show is a great move for CBS. All shows like these dramas have some far out hard to believe scenarios in them, but if the cast is good enough you can look past some of that. This show has a strong cast and I am hoping it stays that way.
