I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

I found this show a bit weird to watch and the humour was not my cup of tea. I am a big amateur of funny TV shows and I actively look for new ones to watch because everyday life is sad enough. I know there are many sensibilities and different people laugh with different types of humour (I'm not a fan of 2 1/2 men for example, but I can understand that some people watch it).But with B-O-T the humour felt a bit forced and most of the characters don't have enough charisma or personality to carry the show. Portia de Rossi has a funny look but that's all, she looks like a robot but she also plays like one unfortunately. The main character dude is a suit, with nice hair, that's all I remember about him. The show format is a bit strange too, the episodes seem either too short or too long, the real problem being that the situations are not interesting enough or developed enough. The whole thing felt a bit like reading a newspaper comic strip, it made me occasionally chuckle but it was forced.

I guess I know why this show was canceled. This show is so anti- commercial and critical that it probably upset the corporate pigs. The story lines are both hilarious and original, usually pointing the comic finger to the corporate owners. The dialogs are witty, the acting and directing is superb. I just wish they would reconsider making a few more seasons for this show. Unlike many other TV comedies that are same old-same old, this show shows us how ugly and dehumanizing the advertising, science and marketing business can be. It also shows us how the same people who do vicious acts at work, live like many other people, therefore making us think twice about the decisions we make in life and the effects it may have on the world around us.You just have to see this show. it's too good to miss.

"Better Off Ted" is a very well written and played, funny, intelligently-cynical, fast-paced, anarchistic and not at all unrealistic corporate America sitcom. The not-so-positive way in which this (extremely unethical, cheerfully heartless, greedy, however innovative and resourceful) Veridian Dynamics corporation is depicted, may deter many potential advertisers. This is probably a major reason in Fox decision to terminate it prematurely. I would assume that many of its avid-viewers are well educated, technically-trained, well-paid individuals. This sort of crowd should be targeted by commercials of "brave and intelligent" electronics and techno-gadget makers.I would encourage Fox to give "Better Off Ted" another chance,as it has the potential of reaching the success of the hilariously funny: "Scrubs".

What a shame that abc pulled the plug on this show.It has a great ensemble cast of Phil & Lem, the quirky Lab Technicians, Ted, the well balanced but easily swayed middle manager, Veronica, the remorseless corporate crony, and Linda, the Corporate product tester and moral compass. The writing is witty and fast. There is no laugh track in this show, and while some jokes really smack you in the face, others are more subtle and can easily be overlooked until you've seen the episode a second time. This show was so well done, and being set in the heart of a global corporation that only cares about money led to a potentially endless supply of fun.I highly recommend this show. If only abc had given Better off Ted a consistent time slot and some advertising, this could have easily become one of the most popular shows on television.
