just watch it!

Disturbing yet enthralling

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

I hadn't heard anything or didn't know anything about this show before I watched it but kept seeing it pop up so I read a brief description before deciding to give it a go.It's more of a prequel to what we generally know about Greek mythology; for example Hercules an alcoholic, gambler and generally shies away from confrontations.We also get introduced to people like Medusa but before the whole turning people into stone and the snake hair thing.It has a good story, a good cast with the most notable being Mark Addy (Game of Thrones and A Knight's Tale) and Juliet Stevenson (Bend It Like Beckham) and some pretty good special effects.It's worth a watch but I couldn't see myself watching Series 1 again but will definitely be tuning in to watch Series 2.

This was excellent movie ! Unbelievable BBC ! And some people wrote negative, what they want? Which movie or episode are %100 percent true ? These are provide to us, forgot our lives for a time.. This movie should be continue minimum 2 years.. Characters and topic are really interesting and you can not stop when you watch.. I hope different channel decide to continue this movie with same people(with everything). I really wish this and i really worried about Ariadne and Jason's end. Please do it for ''ATLANTİS'' LOVERS !Please start to do this movie again we want to watch it.. Herculues, Pisagor and Jason's adventure should be continue.

I Absolutely Love BBC Atlantis. I Got The Series 1-2 Boxset For Christmas And Its Amazing. I Still Can't Get Over The Fact BBC One Decided To Axe The Show. In My Opinion If The BBC Put The First Half Of Series Two On In February Of 2015 There Would Of Been More Viewers. What I Don't Think Is Fair The BBC Had To Decide Whether To Renew The Show Before It Had Even Premiered On BBC One. Series 2 Was Absolutely Fantastic It Had A Much Darker Edge To It. My Favourite Episode Of Series 2 Was Episode 9 When Pasiphae Held Ariadne In Prison It Had Be Screaming At The Evil Woman.The Series Finale Of Series 2 Was Amazing Although It Was A Shame That We Didn't See Jason And Ariadne Take The Throne Also It Was Really Unfair That It Finishes On The Scene Where Pasiphae Was Bleeding. Atlantis Will Be Thoroughly Missed.. My Rati

There are an awful lot of awful sword and sorcery series that keep on reappearing season after anguished season. Merlin springs to mind. Meanwhile other genuinely entertaining shows like Atlantis get cancelled. Why?Atlantis is not sophisticated viewing but its got enough going for it to be a genuinely entertaining romp. There's plenty of action, some good plot twists and turns and well designed sets and costumes. The acting in this series is surprisingly good too. There is some genuine UK talent on show and its evident in the general quality of the performances offered up by the cast. This is not the first time UK TV execs have made a poor decision regarding shows. The Fades was a wonderful series that was canned in spite of good ratings and an entertaining premise. For myself I'm rather tired of disappointment and won't be watching too much more out of the UK until its at least into its third season. My rating for this show seven out of ten.
