Clear the runway for Derek Zoolander, VH1's three-time male model of the year. His face falls when hippie-chic Hansel scooters in to steal this year's award. The evil fashion guru Mugatu seizes the opportunity to turn Derek into a killing machine. It's a well-designed conspiracy and only with the help of Hansel and a few well-chosen accessories like Matilda can Derek make the world safe for male models everywhere.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Zoolander came right on the heels of 9/11 and was thus overshadowed because the film isn't as widely remembered as it should be. This is one of the finest performances by Ben Stiller and he teams up yet again with Owen Wilson to make a memorable comedy. Zoolander is set in the fashion world which in itself is a minefield of jokes and jibes. Then there is a subplot to kidnap the Malaysian Prime Minister by the evil henchmen played over the top hilarious by Will Ferrell. Chock full of cameos this is a great film. Do not miss.

I had to watch the first movie before going to see the second. I'm hearing mixed reviews about Zoolander 2 but I don't care. I'm still going to watch it. I heard it flopped and that is a good thing because it means they're not going to make a Zoolander 3. Zoolander was meant to be a stand alone film. Anyway, what can I say to review this film? It is a comedic classic that stands the test of time. You'll have a grin on your face for most of the movie. The one part that was a little played out was the scene were Zoolander and Hansel are looking for files inside the computer and slapping it around like apes. The joke goes on for a few seconds longer than it should have but that's about it. The only negative thing I have to say about this movie, which has been quoted by me maybe over a million times.

I will start off by saying that I didn't particularly like or dislike Zoolander the first time I watched it a few years back now, I don't know I just thought it was pretty daft and pointless. Now having seen it numerous times it gets funnier and funnier with each viewing to the point that I'm laughing even before the jokes arrive.A clueless fashion model Derek Zoolander (Stiller) is brainwashed into assassinating the prime minister of Malaysia in order to stop him banning child labour laws that the fashion world needs for cheap materials. With the help of a female journalist and his male model rival Hansel (Wilson) can he hold out?One of the best thing about the film is the writing it is clever, smart and witty, with jokes abound and many quotable lines ( The "Is this a centre for ants" scene is hilarious) . What's also great is the ludicrousness of it all that every actor and cameo (And there are many Bowie maybe being the best) goes along with it and gets into it. Its played with a certain tongue in cheek from the main cast that the stupidity never gets irritating. Many references from other movie including a particularly stupid 2001 sequence. One of the best comedy's of this type, dumb comedy to which there are plenty most of which are not great with a few exceptions. It's extremely daft, with no real emphasis on plot but a film that gets funnier with each viewing. Extremely enjoyable.

I never heard of this before, until the sequel was announced a few weeks ago. I was enjoying it and I was laughing, I wouldn't call it a favorite or fantastic movie. I would actually just call it a movie to watch if you need a laugh or just plain bored! It was very surprising to see some of Ben Stillers family members including his wife Christine Taylor playing his love interest in the movie. She is gorgeous and I honestly think Ben Stiller definitely doesn't look like his father, Jerry Stiller. You wouldn't think they are father/son team. You would think they are just plain random actors acting together! Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller honestly make a great team but without the fake 'cool' accents and mention sexual jokes made the movie a bit distasteful. Especially the threesome scene made me cringe even though I know it's comedy! I think if they just be themselves and less sex jokes, they would've got a 9 or 10 star rating for this movie! It's an alright film but we'll see if I can watch the sequel..
