The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Any fan of Meet the Feebles, Team America, Let My Puppets Come and anything horror, especially zombie related, should definitely get a kick out of Zombie Western: It Came From the West. This lil short involves a young, under-appreciated son of a big brawling father. When Zombies come from the....west, the son is finally given an opportunity to show his non-believers that he's no weak-pi$$er.This was a really cool little short that had gore, some good humor and lots of fantastic puppetry. The artistic aspect to the film was really unique looking and really a blast to watch. Not as glossy and put together as say Team America, but still just as amusing. Puppets and chainsaws are an instant win in my book. Also, it says to look out for the full length version. Not sure when we can see that, but I hope sooner rather than later.

Applause to these guys! They've made a great little puppet-short with a lot of black humor and classic over-the-top violence. It's a tongue-in-cheek homage to the old Leone-westerns and the cinematography and sets are great. The only problem I have with this short is the pacing and editing in some of the action/gore scenes which is lacking at times. I understand that these guys are first-timers, and with that in mind, this i nothing less than a great debut. Looking forward to their first feature-length flick!
