Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

This was just poor and has already been done before...twice! Fatal Attraction and Swimfan...both had better storylines, script and casting, plus with Swimfan you have the added bonus of a decent soundtrack. This was not an easy watch, there wasn't a single character to attach to to root for. I'd write more, but I feel I've already wasted much of my time on the movie itself...why waste any more...

Tyler (Taylor John Smith) is deeply in love with new girl Ali (Halston Sage). He's even willing to do yoga for her. It's the last week of the summer and they go to a friend's party. They encounter Ali's sleazy ex Chase from San Francisco. Tyler has a fight with Ali and leaves the party with unknown girl Holly (Bella Thorne). Tyler has a short drug filled sexual escapade. Afterward, he makes up with Ali but is shocked to find Holly attending their school. This one hits all the expected tropes and I actually was hoping for a bunny boil. Tyler is a pathetic unappealing dumb character. The only good aspect is the casting of Sage and Thorne. Sage is a solid good girl and Thorne is perfect as hot crazy. I don't think Thorne can really play the innocent good girl at this point. Using Tyler as the point of view is not compelling. There is no rooting interest in him. He almost redeems himself confessing to Lydia at the hospital but stupid writing immediately takes it all back. He talks face to face with Ali and fails utterly to warn her against Holly. There are so many laughable moments in the third act. It's derivative and unappealing at first and then it devolves into a bad thriller. The actresses are good although the male lead is saddled with a bad role.

Over and Over AgainSome movies are done over and over again. This is about a guy who is in a serious relationship with a nice girl. The relationship hits a bump in the road and the guy has a one time fling with a "bad girl". Then after his nice girlfriend wants to patch things up, he tries to cover up the fling with the "bad girl".This is just so lame. There is nothing original about this movie. The least they could do would be to put an interesting twist at the end or something. You can't think of one original idea. You have to copy previous movies almost line for line.I watched this because of Bella. She's at the point in her career where she can do almost anything she wants. I think maybe she did this so she could play the part of the "bad girl". She's pretty good at that.

PROS: Besides the movie being complete garbage it was marketed well and made out to be amazing. You can tell a movie is bad when the only pros are with the advertising and impressions of the movie. Although there were many things wrong with the film the way the movie appeared to be great which will get many people to watch it, which is good.CONS: For starters the main guy character ticked me off so much. Myself being an actor makes me have such high expectations for other actors in movies. I could tell that the main male character had so much more to give, and he didn't give it. This made my blood boil because it's your job as an actor to give 110% of yourself to the film, but he probably only gave 60%. The other thing that can be said for YOU GET ME is how much of a failure the ending was. The entirety of the movie I was waiting and waiting for the end to grip me and captivate me like the rest of the film couldn't, but instead all I got was the most basic of resolutions. I'm not going to tell you what happens, but I will say is that it is like every other movie ever. To add on, everything was so all over the place. There was never a central viewpoint, which is what made the film loose direction. There was just so little credibility to the plot, which made for a poor poor movie.www.chorror.com
