WWE WrestleMania XXVIII Trailers

The Rock and John Cena collide in the most anticipated WrestleMania face-off in history, an epic match that will forever define the legacies of these icons. The Deadman stakes his entire legacy on one battle with Triple H inside the nightmarish prison they immortalized, Hell In A Cell, with The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels as special guest referee. WWE Champion CM Punk faces off against Chris Jericho in the explosive clash of revolutionaries that will determine which man truly is “The Best In The World.” Daniel Bryan defends his title against a riled-up and ruthless Sheamus, who will have to fight through The Submission Specialist’s tactics to claim his first World Heavyweight Championship. Team Teddy takes on Team Johnny to determine which man will win total control of Raw and SmackDown. This was the twenty-eighth annual WrestleMania. It took place on April 1, 2012 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It is the highest grossing PPV event in professional wrestling history.

Good concept, poorly executed.

Did you people see the same film I saw?

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Wrestlemania XXVIII took place on April 1, 2012 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Here are my match reviewsWorld Heavyweight Championship match: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Sheamus- Terrible match only went for 18 seconds, all it took was Daniel Bryan to be distracted by his woman and then kicked in the face and it was over. GARBAGE!! WHAT HE COULDN'T KICK OUT OR WAS HE STUNNED Because HE CERTAINLY DIDN'T LOOK LIKE IT!! THIS IS THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! .1/10 Kane vs. Randy Orton - This was an OK match, great finish, entertaining .7/10Intercontinental Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. The Big Show - Short but it was nice to see Big Show throw Cody Rhodes around, put is butt in his face (literally) and win his first Intercontinental Championship. Only thing I hated was that stupid video he made of Big Show pre match, that was bad .6/10Eve & Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly & Maria - God Awful that's all there is to say .1/10Hell In A Cell Match The Undertaker vs. Triple H - IMO one the best matches I've ever seen. This is WWE or what it should be. The drama, the brutality, the respect, the commentary from Mr Ross. that staring contest, OUTSANDING!. I feel these things missing from WWE today. Sadly it marked the end of an era which means we won't see something like this anymore. When you look at WWE now compared to this you see the difference. The people who run WWE today need to look back at what made it so great .9/10Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy - Only good thing about this was the midget and Booker T .6/10WWE Championship CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho - I'm just going to put this out there and say I don't like Chris Jericho. Never did never will. Probably his feud with Shawn Michaels a while back was the only thing he did that was cool, but I cringe every time he says something. He's nothing but a trash talker. This time it was with CM Punk's family. So I'm glad Punk won through Submission with the Anaconda Vice. There was a lot of bodily contact in this one .7/10Main Event John Cena vs. The Rock - After all those matches I bet it took a lot out of the audience still this is what a year of hype and promoting came down to. John Cena vs. The Rock. The Rock is my favourite wrestler so I was pumped. One thing that didn't make sense was 'ONCE IN A LIFETIME'. Uh no it wasn't because of the rematch a year later. Anyway the pre match started with a really bad concert for each wrestlers entrance from I think Flo Rida and someone else which I didn't care about. WHY DID WE NEED THIS? why couldn't it just be a normal entrance. Whatever. So they get in the ring stare at each other then each person decides to push each other until they fall over, WOW! IS THIS A PUSHING CONTEST! Then it begins. Well not really because they don't really fight like aggressive. It's just grappling. Then they just lie there in the ring sweaty until the next person gets them up. That's just poor. What made no sense is John Cena Five knuckle shuffled, AAs (twice) STFs, (until The Rock almost fades), jumps off the freaking turnbuckle with an elbow and bear hugs the Rock and he still didn't win. The ending is pathetic he makes fun of the Peoples elbow gets Rock bottomed and then its over. Maybe they were saving The Rock for the Royal Rumble IDK but it was OK I guess they delivered what they said they would. The Rock won which made me happy but I just feel it was over-hyped. It just needed more drama like the fight earlier. Still good - .7/10Overall it was an OK Wrestlemania I recommend buying the Blu Ray or DVD and skipping to Undertaker vs. Triple H, CM Punk vs. Jericho and John Cena vs. The Rock

1. World Heavyweight Championship - Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus This was a very disappointing start to the biggest PPV of the year. Only 18 seconds long while these two deserve 20. 1/102. Kane vs. Randy Orton This match actually surprised me. I was very entertained by the action throughout, and the pace really quickened towards the end. Good finish as well. 7/103. Intercontinental Championship - Cody Rhodes vs. The Big Show This was just too short in my opinion at just over 5 minutes. It wasn't a bad match but it could have been better if it was given a few more minutes, 5/104. Eve & Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly & Maria Well this could have been worse, still not worth the watch. 2/105. Hell In A Cell Match - The Undertaker vs. Triple H Shawn Michaels was the guest referee for the match,, which really added to the drama. These two put on an amazing, main event worthy match. This one topped their fight at last year's Wrestlemania. It did get pretty slow but that would probably be my only complaint. Great hell in a cell match. 9/106. Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy Nothing special here, they kept it short so it never got boring though. I found it funny that Team Johnny captain Otunga never actually saw any action. 5/107. WWE Championship - CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho This was another match that was main event worthy. Great action from start to finish. There were a few cringe-worthy spots as well which really added to the match. There was a great sequence at the end of the match as well. Awesome title match. 9/108. John Cena vs. The Rock The match that we all waited a year to see, and it truly lived up the hype. These two put on a great show for over thirty minutes. The crowd was really behind The Rock here. It was a very fitting end to this year's Wrestlemania. 8/10While the undercard wasn't anything special, the Hell in a cell, Punk/Y2J and Rock/Cena matches all made the pay per view special. I would recommend the DVD for those 3 matches alone.

Match 1: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship - The front row was filled with "YES!" signs and fans chanting Daniel Bryan. The bell rings and Bryan gives his girlfriend AJ a kiss before the match, Bryan then turns around to a Brogue Kick from Sheamus and this match is over. 18 seconds, really? I have no problem with Sheamus going over Bryan here, but the 18 seconds was a waste of money for all that purchased tickets for the event or bought this on pay-per-view. Winner: and NEW World Heavyweight Champion SheamusMatch 2: Randy Orton vs. Kane - Very uninspiring stuff early on from these two. They ultimately finished strong and picked up the pace. Orton, at least in my opinion, was the favorite to win this. In the end Kane hits Orton with a chokeslam off the top rope for the win. One of the bigger surprises of the night was seeing Kane win this match, which he desperately needed to do in order to protect his image after losing to Cena. Winner: KaneMatch 3: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. The Big Show for the Intercontinental Championship - Nothing too spectacular to comment about in this match. The story of Big Show never having his "WrestleMania moment" actually added some depth to save this match. Rhodes looked pretty good here being in the ring with someone a lot bigger than him. In the end Rhodes goes for his Disaster kick, but Big Show counters and literally spears him right in the balls. After a knockout punch Show gets the pin, the win, the Intercontinental title, and finally his "WrestleMania moment." Winner: and NEW Intercontinental Champion The Big ShowMatch 4: Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Eve vs. Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos - Still scratching my head as to why this got more time than the Bryan/Sheamus World title match. Your basic WrestleMania divas tag match that dragged on longer than it needed to. Don't get me wrong, they are all extremely hot, but this match should not have gone more than at least 3 minutes at best. Winners: Kelly Kelly & Maria MenounosMatch 5: The Undertaker vs. Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match with Shawn Michaels as Special Guest Referee - All I have to say is damn, what a match. These two guys are a lot older than most of the guys on the roster, but can still have a better match than most of them. The cell wasn't really needed, as it wasn't utilized really at all during this match. I don't think I've seen a match with more drama involved in it. They overbooked a little in this match, but the storytelling ultimately saved it from being some overbooked mess. At times it actually looked like Undertaker would being going 19-1, but after kicking out of the second Pedigree Undertaker losing was out of the question. WWE really did a nice job here of tying together The Undertaker's matches with Shawn Michaels as well as his match last year with Triple H all into this one match for a final conclusion. Undertaker tombstones Triple H for the win. Winner: The UndertakerMatch 6: Team Teddy (Santino Marella (captain), R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, & Booker T) vs. Team Johnny (David Otunga (captain), Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz & Drew McIntyre) - The match for control of both shows. It was your basic multi-man match to make sure that some undercard talents got a spot on the show. Zack Ryder actually had a really strong showing towards the end of the match, which just shows that WWE has really dropped the ball and failed to push him to his full potential. The Miz pins Ryder for the win after some distraction from Eve to further her storyline with Ryder. Johnny has control of Raw and SmackDown, which was needed here, because let's face it, if WWE didn't have a heel manager figure it would eliminate half of the story lines on their shows. Winners: Team JohnnyMatch 7: CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship - The match of the night as far as wrestling goes. The match started off like some sort of a T.V. angle with Jericho trying to get Punk disqualified so he could become WWE Champion. After getting past that part of the story these two turned everything around to have the match of the night. Both men delivered and the audience really invested into CM Punk, although Jericho fans were also very vocal throughout. After a nice exchange during the end Punk is able to apply the Anaconda Vise on Jericho and make him tap out to retain the title proving himself to be the Best in the World. Winner: and STILL WWE Champion CM PunkMatch 8: The Rock vs. John Cena - The match that basically sold this show. It was really hard to deliver after a year-long build, but both of these guys did just that. The Rock proves that he still "has it." The fans were so against Cena that a riot might have actually taken place if he won this match. The general feeling was that Cena would win this after all the build-up since the last WrestleMania. A really strong match that was main event worthy for this WrestleMania. Really enjoyable back and forth battle from these two. After two Attitude Adjustments didn't work, Cena tries for the People's Elbow. The Rock immediately jumps up and hits the Rock Bottom on Cena for what I thought was a surprising win. Cena really needed to lose here, because his character desperately needs to change. Looks like it could be time for a heel turn finally. Cena could be embracing the hate. Winner: The Rock

Another excellent WrestleMania in my opinion! This time I watched it on WWE.com online Pay Per View. My views are in parenthesis.* The pre-show saw Primo and Epico retain their Tag Team Championships in a triple threat match against The Uso's and Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. (A nice match to get things started. Didn't think the titles would change hands, but I think that Kidd and Gabriel are going to make an awesome tag team.) 1. Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan to win the World Heavyweight Championship.(This was one hell of a quick title change that I immediately cracked up after I saw it.) 2. Kane beat Randy Orton. (In my predictions I picked Orton to win. The ending was pretty wild and they both fought a good match that either one could have won.)3. Big Show beat Cody Rhodes to win the Intercontinental Championship. (In my predictions I picked Rhodes to retain. It was great to see Show get his moment while Rhodes had a great run with the title. Show's KO punch really looks like it hurts bad.) 4. Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos beat Eve and Beth Phoenix. (Didn't really care for this one. However I find it funny that Maria now holds two victories over Beth Phoenix. Maybe she's earned herself a shot at the Divas Championship.....) 5. Undertaker beat Triple H in a Hell in a Cell Match. (Awesome, just an awesome match!!) 6. Team Johnny beat Team Teddy. (I predicted that Team Johnny would win as well and it was nice to see The Miz get the pin for the win. Hopefully this will be the end of those long loosing streaks for Miz and Drew McIntyre. As of now John Laurinaitis is in control of both brands.) 7. CM Punk beat Chris Jericho to retain the WWE Championship. (Great back and forth match.)8. The Rock beat John Cena. (Awesome match as well. Rock and Cena gave it their all but on this night it was the Rock that came out on top. Great main event to another excellent mania.)Thanks!!
