Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

No Mercy 2008 was a pretty decent show for WWE, it was a pretty good card for the modern day WWE era that were in now. The main events were worth their price and the other matches were definitely worth watching at least once.Match 1: Matt Hardy defends the ECW Championship against Mark Henry - Mark Henry dominated ECW as their Champion during the entire summer of 2008 and as soon as September rolled around he lost it to Matt Hardy in ECW's Championship Scramble at Unforgiven. This was a little better of a performance than usual from Mark Henry. With Hardy's showman like persona he really carried a decent match out of Henry. In the end Hardy hits the twist of fate to retain his title.Match 2: Beth Phoenix defends the Women's Championship against Candice Michelle - At this same event in 2007 we saw Beth Phoenix take the gold for the first time against her challenger in this match. Well what can I say about this one. It was a pretty weak match. Beth Phoenix is one of the better women wrestlers in WWE at the moment so she basically dominated and in the end retained her belt.Match 3: Rey Mysterio vs. Kane - The stipulation stated that if Mysterio lost he had to remove his mask forever. Well we all knew that wasn't going to happen. Anyway this match was actually very decent. Kane hasn't really been getting a lot of pay per view time since being drafted to Raw in the summer. Mysterio and Kane didn't tear down the place, but they kept the match at a steady pace. In the end Mysterio dives outside the ring, but Kane nails him with a steel chair. Mysterio gets the win by disqualification. He doesn't have to remove his mask.Match 4: Batista vs. JBL - The winner of this match gets a World Heavyweight Championship match against either Jericho or Michaels. Batista basically dominates. This was a very lousy match. They only went for 5 minutes and JBL looked like he didn't even know what to do with this one. Batista throws him around inside and outside of the ring then brings him back in for a Batista bomb to pick up the victory and earn yet another championship opportunity.Match 5: Big Show vs. Undertaker - Considering that the Undertaker was robbed of the World Championship back in early May he really hasn't gotten a return match at the WWE Championship now that it is on SmackDown. Nevertheless Undertaker has been in sporadic feuds on SmackDown and has had various Pay Per View matches throughout 2008. With the absence of Edge, Vickie Guerrero really needed a handyman to take care of the Undertaker so Big Show attacked him at Unforgiven. Anyway you would think that Undertaker would win this one, but surprisingly the match doesn't even earn a pin or submission finish. Big Show plants a huge right hand into the back of Taker's head for the knockout win. This isn't boxing.Match 6: Triple H puts the WWE Championship on the line against Jeff Hardy - So Jeff Hardy at the moment is who the fans want to see as WWE Champion on SmackDown. The guy has come so close this year and we all want to see him win the big one. Jeff earned this opportunity by beating The Brian Kendrick, Shelton Benjamin and MVP in a Four Way match on SmackDown. Triple H keeps telling him that he won't grasp the brass ring like he normally does. So Triple H does a good job of defending his title, he covers Jeff's weaknesses and counters his signature moves. On the other hand Jeff does the same he blocks pedigrees and spine busters enabling the game from retaining. In the end Jeff hits a Swanton and when he just has the three count Triple H flips him over for the win. Excellent main event for SmackDown. Triple H is still WWE Champion.Match 7: Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels in a Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship - This Michaels/Jericho rivalry has went on since the mid summer of 2008 and has been one of the hottest feuds on Raw. They took it to the max both at The Great American Bash and Unforgiven this year, so you might think how could they top their selves. Well in this ladder match you see innovative maneuvers from the great Shawn Michaels as if he was just 20 years old again. The match was very dramatic with both in a tug-a-war for the title in the end. Jericho snatches the belt down for the win. 10/10 main event.

This No mercy was one of the best ones I have seen and the reasons are the matches are really good and they were flawless and they were very enjoyable to watch and you would want to watch them over and over again. The only match that was not that good was the divas match but the divas in the match are hot so that is good. The best matches were the undertaker vs. Big Show and Y2J vs. Shawn Michaels Ladder match and the Jeff hardy vs. HHH match. So make sure that you see WWE no mercy because it is awesome.Match Ratings: (ECW Championship) Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry ****1/2 out of ***** (Womens Title) Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle ** out of ***** Kane vs. Mysterio ****1/2 out of ***** Batista vs. JBL ***1/2 out of ***** The Undertaker vs. The Big Show ***** out of ***** (WWE Championship) HHH vs. Jeff Hardy ***** out of ***** (World HeavyWeight Title) Y2J vs. Shawn Michaels ***** out of *****Match Results:Matt Hardy Defeated Mark Henry (ECW Championship)Beth Phoenix Defeated Candice Michello (Womens Title)Rey Mysterio Defeated Kane Batista Defeated JBLThe Big Show Defeated The Undertaker HHH Defeated Jeff Hardy (WWE Championship)(Ladder Match) Y2J Defeated Shawn Michaels (World HeavyWeight Title)Overall Score: ********** out of *************** out of *****

No Mercy was a very good Pay Per View. Featuring good performances from most competitors, a lively atmosphere from the 11,000 people in attendance and a nice array of moves this has been the most consistent PPV since Wrestlemania 24.A few minor complaints - firstly the match between Beth Phoenix and Candice Michelle was rubbish as would one would expect from a match featuring Michelle. The women has no wrestling skills, crap mike skills and doesn't interact with the audience. 'The Glamazon' on the other hand needs the right opponent (Melina, Mickie James etc) so she can have a decent enough match. The Rey Mysterio vs Kane match was good but the finish was abysmal and failed to make any sense. Why would a man who wants to see his opponent unmask is he loses smash him senseless with a chair and in the process get himself disqualified? I expect this kind of finish in TNA.And the Batista vs JBL match was just passable but thank the lord the WWE scriptwriters kept it short at 5:18.And now for the good - Matt Hardy managed to carry his opponent Mark Henry to a decent enough match but being lumbered with fat slob Henry kind of give me the impression that WWE doesn't give a toss about Hardy's career, Hardy deserves better. As soon as I heard that the Undertaker was going to enter a feud with the Big Show I had a panic attack because I suffered flashbacks to their mediocre feuds in 2003. Happily though Show entered a fine performance against' The Deadman' and WWE booked the right finish in where Show scored the win with knockout punches. And now for the damn right marvellous - Jeff Hardy and Triple H had a cracking match, featuring world class performances from both man, they put on a superb show, Triple H won of course. And finally Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho put on a great display in a dramatic and worthy Ladder Match. I have to say this whole Shawn vs Jericho feud has been the best for some time. Results from the show, which was held in Portland, Oregon on October 5th: Matt Hardy downed Mark Henry in a decent opener.... Beth Pheonix defeated Candice Michelle.... Rey Mysterio defeated Kane via DQ in a good match.... Batista pinned John Bradshaw Layfield in a passable match to become to no 1 contender for the World title.... The Big Show defeated The Undertaker with knockout punches.... Triple H pinned Jeff Hardy in an excellent match.... Chris Jericho defeated Shawn Michaels in an exciting Ladder Match.Overall Grade - A-
