I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Lets start with: My son and my daughter loved it and I enjoyed watching it.May be it is not as polished as a Big Studio movie, but it is very nice and funny. The kids will be interested and will have more than one laughing. The storyline is simple (which make it appropriated for small kids), and the characters are very nice. Basicaly the plot revolves around a magic contest and the consequences that the expulsion of one participant has for the magic realm.Recommended. Absolutely Sacatepóngolas.

Combine lovable characters with great voices and voilá, you have a movie that will fill your kids with magic. Magos y gigantes is the first Mexican movie animated in a very long time, and this is a great new beginning, not a complicated story, well defined characters that make them being different from your normal American movie, it's in 2D (probably a few scenes were modeled in 3D, not sure), Gigante is adorable, Ada might be the girl but she is quite strong, the devilish Caradura and the lovable Mago Trafalgar, he is the BEST! with a french accent and all mischievous, he is the one that kids love the most, his disguises are so creative and make him unique, a great movie for kids, you will enjoy it. :)

Magos y Gigantes is a very cute movie! my children enjoyed it very much.It is a movie for children between the ages of 2 and 8 years old, because the story line is easy to understand with no complicated twists and turns. The most important message of the story are the values of friendship and team work. It teaches children that selfishness is bad, and that you have to stick together for your friends. It even shows them, that sometimes you may be following the "wrong" role model, but that there is always time to mend your way.My sons had a great time, and the music from the group Haash was great! I hope they keep making this kind of films for the whole family!

The amazing thing about this movie is that it was made with a very limited crew. Having said that, here are my opinions:1.- The dialog is funny and the voices great. 2.- The character design, great. The characters are lovable and cute. 3.- The animation is very limited, but that's understandable due the small crew. 4.- The backgrounds are horribly flat and uninspiring. 2D animation doesn't mean you can't use perspective! 5.- The story is derivative and predictable without any depth. Having a low budget is no excuse for having a shallow storyline. This criticism is just to encourage Anima to make better movies and spending more time with the script. I would love to see an animation industry develop in Mexico.--Saludos
