It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The haters really should pipe down cuz Witchcraft X does indeed have some redeeming qualities. First let me say that I believe that I may be the ONLY true fan of this series (hate on me if you must) and not just for the skin I might say. Let's face it, producing the longest running horror/ erotic horror/ soft porn... whatever it's called... series of all time should render the makers of these films some earned notoriety. Regarding Witchcraft X; Admittedly when I first bought this film (yes, bought- not rented) I was shocked and appalled that it was seemingly shot-on-video, not on film. I thought to myself there's no way, but alas there it was, and I was watching it. Yes it is true, that this is by all accounts a horrible example of film-making and in ways makes other entries in the series look like Oscar contenders. I firmly believe, for example, that Witchcraft V, VI and yes, even VII were notably slick, cool and thoroughly entertaining (again, feel free to hate on me). IX ranks right up there too I might add, and those original VHS box covers are f*****g beautiful! That being said, 'Mistress of the Craft' begins with the absolute coolest and darkest opening credits sequence of all the films with some awesome music ta boot (I think the artist was Monkey, or Red Monkey... something like this). And, you've gotta give em' credit for construing an interesting (though silly) storyline... more interesting than perhaps I'm used to with this series. Yes the Vampire crap is just that, but what the f**k? Who doesn't like Vampires?? The scene in the stairwell of the night club won my heart, as did Raven and satanic dude's sex scene later on in the film. Can't remember satanic dude's name, but he uttered some hilariously amazing lines throughout! Stephanie Beaton rocked in every way too! Bottom line: although I myself do look upon these films with some seriousness, the best advice for anyone who says that they've had the 'mis-fortune' of sitting through one and then feels compelled to tear it apart, is this - DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, IDIOTS!!! You'll enjoy it a hell of a lot more and you won't have to listen to people like me defending it. Peace!

"Mistress of the Craft" Celeste works as an agent for the London branch of Interpol's Bureau 17, which specializes in (I think) occult criminals. She possesses the Eye of Destiny, good in her hands, dangerous if anyone else got it.Bureau 17 has caught a Satanist from California, Hyde (no relation to Dr. Jekyll). Detective Lucy Lutz of LAPD flies to England to bring him back to the US. Lutz is the connection to the earlier Witchcraft movies, having been played by Stephanie Beaton before in Witchcraft 9. In part 7, Lutz was played by another woman; in 6, Lutz was a man!Lutz's part in 9 was not terribly big, but she's one of the main stars in this one. Though she's left behind her high heels and short skirts, she still has revealing tops in this one. And this time around she has nude and sex scenes. Beaton is pretty appealing in the role.As usual, there are a number of sex scenes. An anonymous clubgoer has a fatal threesome with two vampires, the Satanist and head vampire get it on with some kink, Lutz finds an English pal, and Celeste and her boyfriend make love.The main recurring character of the Witchcraft series, Will Spanner, does not appear in this one, although Lutz mentions him to Bureau 17 agent Dixon in a conversation about vampires. She also phones her partner Detective Garner (parts 6, 7, and 9), though we don't hear his end of the conversation.Hyde is sprung from jail by a group of vampires led by Raven, for a Walpurgis ritual having something to do with a god named Morsheba (I think). Hyde delivers all of his lines in a very flat manner, while Raven overacts to a campy degree. The fight scenes are terribly choreographed.The audio in the movie was pretty poorly recorded, and poorly edited. Additionally, some dialogue gets lost under blaring music or sirens. Cinematography isn't great either. Having the movie set in and actually shot in the UK was a bit of a novelty though, at least for this series.Wendy Cooper is very good as Celeste; attractive, certainly, but more importantly she's easily the best actor in the movie (bad fight scenes notwithstanding). I'm quite surprised her filmography is so small. If there's ever a Witchcraft XIV, and I would bet there will be, they should bring her back, even if it means flying her to California!Witchcraft X is available on its own, or in the DVD collection Hotter Than Hell along with Witchcraft XI and two unrelated movies.

I Watched This Film At The Weekend With A Group Of Friends And I Haven't Laughed And Enjoyed A Film So Much In All My Life.The Acting Is Just Brilliant (Especially Sean Harry aka Agent Chris Dixon). I Have Never Been So Blown Away With A Performance In My Life.I Have Watched A Lot Of Films In My Life And This Is Up With The Best Of Them.If You Get The Chance To Watch This Film Then You Must.Marks Out Of 10. This ultra low budget continuation of the "Witchcraft" series deals pretty much with 'babe-ish' lesbian vampires and a silly super woman from another dimension/time who battles them in modern day London. One thing: don't blame the actors too much. The script was the most wretched amateurish thing ever put to paper.Caution: Possible SPOILERS! ahead ....Despite it's incredibly low budget and really bad production values there are items which are so bad, they are good!(1) The police detective who is so fat, his tie only goes halfway down his chest. (2) The 1 second delay in Synchronization for the sound effects during the fight scenes. (3) the British "Police station" that looks suspiciously like someone's apartment building. (4) the supposed police (curiously lacking uniforms) who scream in terror when hot looking chicks approach them (the vampire attack comes seconds later, but still, what guy gets terrified by hot babes wanting to feel them up?). (5) the classic line "They won't do anything ... we got guns" when two stupid cops try to cuff the female vampires, who are then immediately killed by the female vampires. The list goes on and on.If MST3K showed soft-core Vampire flicks, this would be a perfect showcase!
