Witchblade Trailers

NYPD Detective Sara Pezzini's main goal in life was to bring down Tommy Gallo, the hitman who killed her father, her best friend, and eventually her partner. While chasing down one of Gallo's thugs, she acquires the Witchblade, an enchanted armored glove once used by Joan of Arc that deflects bullets, extends into bladed weapons, produces visions, and neatly compacts itself into a bracelet.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

Let me start out by saying that this series started out okay. I thought as the episodes progressed the show got stupider and stupider, such as the everything's a dream bit. I can't say I cared too much for the cast minus Yancy Butler who I thought was fantastic and Anthony Cistaro who pulled off playing a cold, intelligent Nazi was brilliant. It's not that the rest of the cast was over the top bad. They just never got their chance to expand too heavily. Hopefully the film will be better. I hope they go with an all new cast.I also read about Eric Etebari's (who played Nottingham) film called "The Dreamless" which stars Eric Etebari, Anthony Cistaro, David Chokachi and Lazar Rockwood. Aside from starring as the lead actor, Eric is also producing. This seems far coincidental to me as it definitely seems like Eric is pulling all the strings on this film and got his buddies to act in it as well.

the best thing about the show was the low amount of digital effects they would use. Yes, they dropped in the Matrix freezes and did not overuse the bullet time effects. Yancy Butler not only looked a lot like the comic version, but her eyes and voice was exactly what the character needed. You could never put a blonde with a sqeaky voice in the same role.If you have never seen the show, the location shots were beautiful. Plus the skyline shots with the Twin Towers hits close to the heart. I hate all those people who wanted to remove Tower visuals from movies in the DVD versions.Oh, and the action and belly shirts were great.

I will be the first to make comments in 2004. Let's keep the memory alive. I really enjoyed this show and fortunately I taped most of season 1 and season 2 on video. I have watched it over and over and only hope it gets released to dvd before my tapes wear out.I never read the comics so my opinions are strictly about the tv series. I found this to be a very unique story. The witchblade is very mysterious and I love how it had a great history, using actual historical figures and events. I kept wondering if it truly existed. The characters are all wonderful. Sara is a strong, intelligent female lead character (and surrounded by all those hot men). I find the characters very intriguing and I had to keep tuning in every week just so I could figure out who everyone was and how they related to each other, especially Kenneth Irons and Nottingham. Nottingham is my very favorite character. A lethal person but with a lot of depth and torment. I have read all the other reviews about how bad the effects were, etc and I don't agree. I thought the show had a great "look". I thought the way the scenes were shot and the music and everything was excellent. And even though they undid the whole first season in the finale they were able to come back with a second season that was as good as the first. I was sorry to see it end but hopefully whoever is in charge of making the decision will allow it to go to dvd so the fans can enjoy the series for all time.

My theory on this low rating is that comic book fans rebelled against this excellent adaptation of their scantily clad comic heroine in the most vehement way possible, a rating of 1. The movie was very interesting, and well acted. I like the image they give S.P. and the Witchblade better than the impression I get from the comic. That impression is, as someone mentioned earlier, that the comic company's strategy has seemed to slip into relying on the 'bimbo effect'. Witchblade is a great choice of a movie, imo it lies solidly in the 8-9 range.
