Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

This is the most realistic movie ever! The characters seem genuine to the point where Benji (who appears to be Indian) believes that he has inherited a family trait from a bunch of White folks! The music boxes are filled with a magical appeal that will have kids and adults alike singing right along (but make sure to cover your ears during the "Flo Fortissimo" section -- she's a REALLY LOUD singer!). "Marvelous Musical Mansion" has helped me bond with my family, connect with my pets, solve difficult riddles, and even write my own melody (so all my friends can sing with me)! On a personal level, I really connected with Kelly: the wonder she felt at the mystery of a melody and the magic of music were so authentic that I found myself tapping my feet to a catchy beat and singing along when I heard a song. The elder characters, Uncle Rubato and Aunty Annabella, provided much-needed comic relief: their hairstyles, stylish clothing, and ability to float added immensely to the hilarity of already amusing situations. The boys, Alex and Benji, had a heartwarming brotherly relationship that is a rare gem in the movie industry these days. TRUE FACT: The birdwatchers, Madge and Maude, are actually the creators of Wee Sing! And their dancing is off the hook!

I enjoyed this movie as a kid. Lots of that music thats annoying but you just have to listen to it. If you have kids around the age of 5 or so consider this as a rental, otherwise your kids will play it over and over and over and over..... However there is very good music, and there is a mystery or a "riddel" that must be solved. It's good for the kids. You should maybe get a few of your kids friends to watch it with him. If I was a little kid I'd give the movie a 10 but since I'm much older now I give it an 8 as a kids movie, a 1 as a adult movie. Don't rent this movie thinking it will be a good musical. There is a wide base of characters however the kids are a little corny. When I think back I seem to remember a big table of food in the movie that was so interesting, probably because they sung a song about it.

Marvelous Musical Mansion is probably the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life. Good times! you need to see it! it's awesome! Okay, it's not actually a good movie in that kind of way. It's just a lot of fun to make fun of. fun. So you should watch it. If you're in your teen or 20's or whatever. Or just really high. Cause for kids it's probably really dumb and not entertaining at all. And it's not really educating for kids. I dunno, it's just really funny. It's just so awesome in a ridiculous, why was this movie ever made, kind of way. Take it lightly and play along. And you'll just have to enjoy it! So rent it now!! Happy watching!
