Ugly Aur Pagli Trailers

It is a story of Kabir, a carefree guy who has been studying engineering for the last ten years now, whose life goes for a sixer when he meets the quirky and kinky Kuhu. Kabir always wanted a girl to love but he never in his wildest dreams thought he would encounter a girl who could make him dance around circles, run around naked, ride cycles without seats, wear high heels, and many other things

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

I've always wondered why I haven't seen that much of Mallika Sherawat in films and now I know why. Ugly or Pagli is just the kind of pointless, mindless stupid excuse for a SLAPstick comedy film that she acts in. It's so bad that every copy of this movie should be thrown in the garbage and burned to a cancerous crisp! The foolishness begins as the starter credits role and we are treated to mindless clips of mismatched couples making out for the camera and posing for candids, and when the opening song ends, we are told that there is someone for everyone in this world and that is the supposed moral of the story.Ranbir Shorey wastes his talent playing loser who keeps flunking out of Engineering school (duh! why won't you flunk when you spend half your time hanging out with your loser friends at bars and checking out the latest hottest chick in town?). One day, on his way home from school he notices a young lady about to fall over onto the train tracks and rushes to save her. A gust of wind blows as he does this and as her hair flies away from her face, Mallika Sherawat's Cuckoo Kuhu is revealed. Ranbir's loser falls instantly in love with her only to find out that she's a feminist slap-fit drunkard. He tries to help her but everything keeps going wrong as the night progresses. The next day, he awakes to find a mysterious cellphone ringing, he answers it and Kuhu is on the other end screaming that he is obviously the thief who stole her phone. They agree to meet and loser guy explains everything that happened the night before to her and she takes him out to lunch to show her weird gratitude. This is the beginning of their whirlwind Ugly and Crazy relationship. And as the film progresses, loser begins to discover that his crazy new girlfriend might just be truly insane. Kuhu likes to write futuristic film scripts in which women rule the world and men are they slaves or toys, and also loves to pretend that she is Rose Dewitt Bukater from Titanic. Think that's weird? Watch the film.Don't even bother with the songs, the best one plays in the beginning and everything else is pure garbage. And Miss Sherawat looked right at home with it all, from her endless parade of sleazy underwear in every song she showed up in to the banal lyrics. I don't even understand why nearly every song in the film was Latin American themed, with Reggeaton beats and Spanish dance moves. Every song is either about getting laid, or getting drunk. There was even one lyric that went something along the lines of "Undress me with your hot breathing" UGH! I mean, for the love of everything humane in this world, I hope something was lost in translation. Most Unacceptable to me was a scene where loser boy goes to 'Yashram' studios(an offensive a spoof of Yash Raj Films) in Mumbai with one of Kuhu's scripts and presents it as an Original. The talent scout responds that even "God's own work is not original" and the subtitler made sure that the God was spelt with a capital "G". For the life of me, I have never seen God spelt with a capital "G" in a Hindi film but I've always attributed to the fact that Hindus worships lots of smaller gods therefore they are not referring to the singular "Supreme Being" Christian God nor the singular "Allah" (in Islam) when they say god. I was stunned and offended but as most would say, it's just a stupid film and perhaps a faux pas on the part of the writers.Bottomline: UGLY AUR PAGLI is just that in more ways than 1. I give it a whopping F-

What were the makers of this movie thinking. They thought they could give an Indian touch to the Korean original "Yeopgijeogin Geunyeo" which is a masterpiece by itself. Though I do not understand Korean, I watched the Korean version (with English subtitles) and was touched by every moment in it. A friend of mine suggested this movie and I thought it must be some kind of Korean comedy (with animated expressions). But the end result was totally different. It turned out to be a heart rendering, natural comedy with touching moments and a warm ending. Haven't seen the Hollywood version "My Sassy Girl" but the original is special and probably no remake could recreate the magic of the movie. Ugly aur Pagli is an utter failure in an attempt to do so. Instead the comedy is slapstick and makes no sense in the Indian context. Ranvir has been wasted here and Malika should stick to what she does best (which is not acting). Music has nothing to it, except for probably "Main Talli Ho Gayi". Overall the movie makes a mockery of the original and has nothing much to take back from it.

I've never seen such a terrible movie as this one in my whole life. 23 years and haven't seen nothing like it. How low can you go to copy someone's movie frame by frame??, how dumb can u be?. Perhaps the director thought ooh "my sassy girl" is a Korean movie so not much people must have seen it, i'll make my copy and take it to the Oscar. crap ????. Who haven't seen my sassy girl?, probably 1/4 of all people in the universe. I think bollywood should change it's name to HollyCopy or "hollyXerox" cause most of it's movies are Hollywood copies. but this one takes the cake, the director did't bother to use his head and shamelessly copied someone's work. He did't change a thing, can u imagine?. If it was an examination he would have copied even the name, Idiot!!!

Well, there are many kinds of movies. Some of them are outstanding, some are great, some good, some bad, some terrible and then there's something like Ugly Aur Pagli. We landed up getting tickets to the premier show before the official launch in theaters. For some very, and now unbelievably, stupid reason my friends and I felt privileged to have got tickets for this show. In fact, we missed the first few minutes and I was tempted to ask my seat mate about the scenes I missed. Most of the people laughed not because things were funny, but to feel that their hard-earned money was well-spent. I too laughed sometimes, and I felt guilty every time I did. My strong belief is that the writer lost the plot somewhere in the beginning itself. I didn't have high expectations, but I sure felt deceived. Here are my reasons:(1) It didn't have a story (2) If you argue it did, I would argue back (3) Whatever little there was to it, was held intact because of Ranveer (4) I will not deduct marks for a predictable ending. That's a disease faced by most movies. I would never look down upon someone's creative work, but I would feel even more guilty if many people spent good money, time and popcorn on something like this. My honest opinion, and what I strongly believe to be a fact, is that you should avoid watching this well-rhyming movie.Avoid the temptation of a great trailer.
