I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

As for the rating, I wasn't too sure about this one. However, there's some known actors and also it still has that 80s "scent"that Chinese movies had.The movie is about an ex-triad boss who's been released from prison after 20 years. He managed to be the only person who was jailed after being taken by the police. When he's out, he discovers that one of his children is going out with an arrogant young Triad chef. All his old friends/workers want to help him, but he doesn't want to. He wants to live in peace, no more killing.Well, the last twenty minutes are priceless. Lots of amazing fights. Can't believe that they really didn't hurt themselves doing this. It's not incredible, but it's worthless :)
