Transmigration Trailers

Curtis, an American looking for an escape to a foreign land, joins his estranged Brazilian biologist brother Francis on a spontaneous journey to find a rare jungle beetle in the Amazon. While hiking, Curtis is bitten by a snake. As he enters a venom induced hallucinogenic dream the two brothers are captured as slaves by a fantasy tribe of Amazonian women, and given to the tribal queen. With the aid of another slave, Curtis must plot a rescue of Francis and their escape, unless he finds his new situation better than the life he left behind.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

Very cool indie film shot gorgeously in the Jungles of Brazil. A surreal, magical film in a magical location. What made it for me were the quality of performances and the direction. Schiffer(director)is a professional and knows his cinema. His authorial directing style is stamped on the film. Transmigration is definitely worth a watch. It starts in the United States and works it way deeper and deeper into the jungle until the lead, Curtis, played to the nines by unknown but extremely talented actor, Andrew Treglia gets caught by a tribe of Amazonian women. But this isn't a hot Brazilian sex film, this is real cinema.
