Tickled Pink Trailers

Calamity results when the Pink Panther wishes for a pair of roller-skates and is granted his wish by his fairy godmother. The "enchanted" skates take the Pink Panther on an uncontrollable junket through a city. He smashes repeatedly through huge windows being unloaded by moving men, knocks over a painter's ladder, tracks through the paint, and puts double lines on a road- and off the road- for cars to follow. He collides with a brick wall, and still the skates won't stop. Every attempt by the panther to remove the troublesome skates fails, until his fairy godmother returns to grant two more wishes. The panther wishes for the removal of the skates, then for the skates to be placed on the fairy godmother's feet, sending her on a similarly uncontrolled and disastrous journey.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

The Pink Panther strolls by a park and sees children on roller skates. So, he gets the idea that he wants a pair of skates for his own as well. As luck would have it, the panther's fairy godmother appears out of the blue and grants him three wishes. His first wish is a pair of roller skates, which appears and, unfortunately attaches to his feet and automatically moves on its own. So, we have a runaway panther hilariously causing havoc in everywhere he runs into, from the City Park to the City Zoo. He also does a little traffic rerouting and some police dodging. Funny stuff here, not much of a story, but still pretty entertaining.Grade B

Fun stuff, if not among one of the best Pink Panther cartoons, and apart from having skates and has a more-of-the-same sort of premise. The animation is kept simple but has good detail and the colours are pretty. You don't expect the music to be any less than good, and it is good, in fact the music is great. It is jazzy and energetic and the theme tune still has its timeless value. There is nothing extraordinary or creative about the gags, that doesn't matter so much because they're still well-timed and funny. It's also very one-joke stuff but it's executed well. The accidental painting of the white lines and Pinky's escape from the train in the subway were agreed particularly good. The ending is funny too. Pinky is still of great likability, charm and coolness as a character, carrying the cartoon with no problems at all. All in all, very good and fun, one-joke cartoons don't always work but Tickled Pink did. 8/10 Bethany Cox

This short takes its one-joke premise and runs it into the ground. Though the series is naturally limited by the very nature of the main character, this one feels like it was simply phoned in-they needed to provide a certain number of shorts and this one was filler done to meet contractual obligations. I do want to discuss this a little, so a mild spoiler warning is probably advisable: The Pink Panther is given three wishes by his fairy godmother and for his first one, he wishes for roller skates. For the bulk of the short, the skates cause him no end of grief. They have a mind of their own and he is continually crashing through or into things like windowpanes, brick walls, paint buckets and so on. It becomes so predictable that the gags aren't even mildly funny in far too high a percentage of cases. There truly just isn't that much to work with here. Other shorts have had a one-joke premise-most of them, really-but the gags here aren't especially novel or creative terribly often. His fairy godmother returns at the tail-end of the short to remind him he has two more wishes and his second one is to remove the skates. His final wish is the funniest bit in the short and even that is treated predictably. The ending is still funny, but it loses a bit of novelty through trite application. This is available on The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection. The Collection is worth getting, though this short may only be of interest to completists.

The pink panther runs into a fairy godmother and he can wish for three things. He wishes for skates but unfortunately for him he can't control them. This short from the pink panther is not very funny and it is all basically the same. What I did like was the ending, it is quite funny.
