n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Annoying, over the top stupid. There's a limit to how long a joke can be carried on before it just gets on your nerves.

I'm not an Adam Sandler fan. This movie is refreshingly "un-sandler-y". It won't get any nods for any awards, that's for sure. Chris Rock basically acts as a prop, it's almost as if he just happened to be in the area when the original actor didn't show up. The script could probably profit from a couple of re-writes. But all in all it holds up. Adam Sandler actually manages to partially make up for it all. Up until now I had no idea the guy could act at all. If you expect the forced cringy humour of "Jack and Jill" or "Little Nicky", you'll be disappointed, because there's very little of it here. For my part I was pleasantly surprised to see a more civilized and almost soulful side of Adam Sandler.
