Dreadfully Boring

I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

It seems like it's hard not to be a prostitute in certain towns in Russia. The movie features 3 main prostitutes and how they become to live the life of a prostitute. Nina, after being despised and belittled by her mother, turns to prostitution as a way out. Anya, after being abused by her uncle, finds pleasure in bringing pleasure to others. they don't talk much about how Zebra came into prostitution.The spot is where hookers gather, with the aid of the pimp, to meet up with clients. Everyone in this town knows, especially the cops who get freebies, where to go to find hookers. Zebra and Anya rescue this newcomer Nina after being ruffed up by cops. They take her in and make her part of their family. It's quite devastating how these girls not only live, but also what they do to turn a trick to make money.It's quite shocking. A definite must see film.
