Good start, but then it gets ruined

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

My wife and I watched for maybe five minutes. Then I jumped forward a chapter to see if it improved. It didn't. Nothing but pseudo-science drivel and lots of meaningless footage of sunsets, rivers, people and sitar music, which had nothing to do with anything. This movie had nothing to do with quantum mechanics. Go read the Netflix reviews on this POS to get a fuller understanding of how bad it is. Save 77 minutes of your life for something more useful, such as watching grass grow or, even better, watching paint dry. On top of all the lame philosophizing the problems are compounded by the speaker having an unintelligible accent. Just because he is a PhD quantum physicist doesn't mean he knows how to preach it. He had no interest in presenting quantum mechanics, he just wanted to bloviate on about new-age BS and feelings and beliefs and spiritualism. The title is so misleading the makers should be banned from ever handling a camera again.

This isn't a great quality film, and the gentleman speaking has a thick accent (I use closed captioning).I have to agree with some other reviewers - an open mind is necessary when dealing with quantum physics. It's another way of looking at the world, and the world, the brain, the body, these are all complex things. Anyone who is dismissive of it, in my opinion, is somewhat arrogant, because we don't have all the answers.I find quantum physics interesting and I've enjoyed looking into it. This is a decent film. If you're not interested in learning about it, don't watch the movie. The concepts are fascinating. It won't kill anyone to think differently for a change.

Movies like this are doomed to instant and total dismissal by people who think they know everything.Why? Because they propose possibilities that people are totally unwilling to consider, even for a moment.This movie has one purpose, and that's to show you one man's point of view so that you can integrate his thoughts and insight into your own understanding of the universe you live in. But the people who trash it don't see it that way, they see it as "sparkly-eyed peddling of nonsense" and dismiss it entirely.I would never say that this movie is totally truthful or correct. The point of it is that the universe we live in is a very complex place, far too complex for us to really understand, and the only way we can broaden and increase our understanding of it is to BE OPEN TO NEW IDEAS, open to the possibility that what we currently think MIGHT be wrong. That's exactly what the high-horse riders who wrote the leading reviews for this movie do not, cannot and will not ever be willing to do. And that's why they're annoying and pretentious.I'm not going to say this movie is totally brilliant, perfect, true, etc. But I will say that it is worth seeing and worth thinking about if you're the type of person who is genuinely interested in developing and improving his or her understanding of humanity, reality, god, and the universe. But since I think most people don't fall into that category, I understand why most people will find it worthless.

Gosh, yet another something to buy as a shortcut to enlightenment. Yet again we encounter quantum physics as the magical combo: a scientific mystery that "proves" the mysteries beyond. Just what those mysteries are, depends on the salesman of course, but it is usually some Jungian truths presented with sparkly eyes.In this case, we get an esteemed professor who teaches the stuff, so he must know what he is talking about, right? Oh, and he is a Hindu with spiritual awards as well, so has street cred there too. Problems:What we have in this film is basically this one guy prattling on. I suppose one could edit this into a tight film like Linklater did in "Waking Life," or could spread out like we saw in "Ayurveda." Of we could have amusing animations like "What the ##."You have to know a few things. One is that just because someone teaches accounting doesn't mean he has insights into the dynamics of the economy. Quantum mechanics is clerical work; it is quantum logic (or whatever you choose to call the principles when divorced from physics) that is where the mysteries lay. You should also know that there is a long and seamy relationship between spiritual pitchmen and scientific notions: magnetism, vibrations, relativity, the fourth dimension have all had their turn as proof without realizing that they are metaphor.This is bad filmmaking, bad science and unconvincing spiritual wisdom.
