Capitalist/socialist conflict. Both are vicious. This is a very dark cartoon that still absolutely freaks out audiences. It's as if Harry Cohn stopped by the Charles Mintz Studio, insisted "make 'em cute, dammit!", while Sid Marcus muttered under his breath "I'll make it cute, asshole."
