The Picture of Dorian Gray Trailers

“I am tired of myself tonight. I should like to be somebody else.” Succession’s Sarah Snook stars in one of the hottest London plays of the season: The Picture of Dorian Gray. Based on a classic piece of English literature, Oscar Wilde’s novel of the same name, The Picture of Dorian Gray is a stirring, explosive, and digital-forward production adapted and directed by Kip Williams, Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company. The Picture of Dorian Gray is an archetypal morality tale of a young man who purchases eternal youth at the expense of his soul after meeting Lord Henry, who explains that beauty and youth are fleeting. Dorian Gray embarks on a journey in which he doesn’t age, but a portrait of him does. Increasingly mad by the portrait’s maturation as his body remains gorgeous, but his life remains vacuous, Dorian Gray comes to regret his choice and takes acts to reverse it, propelling him to a bloody conclusion.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
