Tied for the best movie I have ever seen
... View MoreFrom my favorite movies..
... View MoreThe plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

... View MoreOf course this movie is not without its flaws, but the way it handles quite a few things, is just phenomenal. It is funny and engaging at the same time. It is close to life, but still heightened in a way that is very entertaining. If you let it be, that is of course. It might not be your kind of humor.Very well acted, with a classy timing and a nice pace throughout, this masters to also be thoughtful at times and has nice deal of drama put into it for good measure. I watched it with subtitles and it did not take anything away from the movie. You get the power of the actors, even if you do not understand the language. It's a special way, they communicate in the movie, that enhances the movie (experience)
... View MoreTruly appealing and funny romantic comedy from Susanne Bier with a star-making performance by Sidse Babett-Knudsen in the lead, Niels Olsen in his most appealing role to date and great support from Lars Kaalund, Sofie Gråbøl, Søs Egelind and Paprika Steen. Too bad that Sonny (aka Andrea) the Italian guy is such a caricature, but that´s a minor quibble for this feel-good movie which also happens to be beautifully photographed (especially when compared to the Dogme 95 films). The soundtrack was almost as big a hit as the movie. *** (of ****)
... View MoreI must say that it's the best danish picture I've ever seen, even if Festen also was a very good and interesting film. This is a romantic comedy which is as good as the best american and english once, for instance When Harry Met Sally... and Four Weddings And A Funeral. If you like that kind of movies and can accept the danish language =) you will like this movie, Den eneste Ene, too.
... View MoreI don't understand why so many (anonymous!) has written that this is a bad movie. Not since "Olsenbanden ser rødt" have a Danish comedy been so funny. But this is a completely different type of humor. All the characters are funny in their own way. Niels Olsen (Niller) who is comparing everything with his kitchen installation. Paprika Steen (Stella) with her fixation on her married name. Sofie Gråbøl (Mulle) constantly reminding us that she has been studying seven years on psychology, and never finishing a sentence. Obviously she needs a shrink herself. But the most funny guy is Lars Kaalund (Knud). He has so many one liners, that are right in the bulls eye. Especially the one over the shrink question theme: "If you were a car, which one would it be." Finally I mustn't forget Sidse Babett Knudsen (Sus). She both plays and looks wonderful. She and Niller fits very nice together. All the fun fits perfectly into this sweat little story, so don't bother to read all these negative comments. Go see it yourself and have a good laugh.
