Slow pace in the most part of the movie.

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

Worse even than Corpses are forever. How people like Tom Savini and the great Miss Quigley were pulled into this specimen I will only wonder. I can think of no situation or circumstance that I would suggest this to anyone. Not Funny. No special effects. I have seen better dialog in the quiet times of Castaway. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to find the most humor in: The aliens costumes - jogging suits and rain coats. film quality - grainy at the very best, eye straining most of the time. I am sure that it is meant to be funny but they only thing you find humorous is that Mr Prendes has made more than one attempt at film-making. Run away.

I do applaud 'writer/director' Jose Prendes for trying.... but I really could strangle him for succeeding! This is horrible, it really is. I seriously can't say anything good about this drivel. I doubt that even if you're a fan of bad movies you'll get anything at all out of this, other than a good sleep possibly. And as for his acting, that shouldn't be allowed under some human rights legislation or other. It's very painful to humans and quite possibly animals too if they're unfortunate enough to watch any of this by accident.I see that he's written two more films since this one and directed one of them. Lord help us! Someone really should take all his cameras and equipment off him to save us more grief. Oh, and his pens and pencils too. Not to mention any computer/word processing equipment he might have. In fact we'd better chop off his hands and rip out his tongue while we're at it. And can't people communicate with their eyes too? Let's pluck those out and slice off the eyelids just for good measure. And what if he's telepathic and could still communicate his ideas to someone else? I think the only way we're all going to be safe would be to decapitate him.I'll volunteer.

This is an absolutely bad movie...and I think it was meant to be. It obviously had a shoestring budget and very limited resources, but still manages to be somewhat fun. The only real complaints I have is that I couldn't make out and understand most of the dialogue in the movie, and I saw it on DVD. The other complaint is that the picture is as bad as a very used VHS tape. I guess it was either originally shot on video tape or digital camera. It's viewable, but only barely at times.Denice Duff, Linnea Quigley, and Tom Savini are good reasons to catch this film. Duff is a major character in the movie, while Quigley and Savini have bit parts. Conrad Brooks of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" fame rounds out the minimal cast of The Monster Man.

This movie looked so much like a home video I wanted to cry. How it's getting good reviews I don't know. It looked terrible, the acting was terrible, the effects were terrible...It was just awful. Reasons why? Well, let's start with the fact it had to have been shot on digital with no budget. Then it's filled with amateurs and some of the worst b movie actors around. It's just THAT bad.
