The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human Trailers

David Hyde Pierce, playing an alien (credited as infinity-cubed in the opening credits), narrates a courtship in a late-20th century American city as an extraterrestrial nature documentary. The relationship "footage" is played straight, while the voice-over (with its most often wildly inaccurate theories) and elaborate visual metaphors add comedy.

The first true mockumentary I have ever seen and truly a must see for all sci fi fans! Genuinely funny, witty, light with several non too explicit sex scenes. Plus (a couple of) nude scenes for Carmen Electra. This film depicts the continuation of the human species through an alien point of view and is, in it's own way, pure genius. Aliens have made a somewhat National Discovery-like documentary about our race and how we perform all sorts of rituals, from picking up a female to conception and birth. These include several assumptions, observations and overall misinterpretations of what exactly is going on as your average documentary has. The screen play has several "re-recurring" links throughout the movie to keep experienced viewers interested but does not quite go "in depth" plot and character development-wise. Overall, well suited for a generally pleasant, non-too complex movie, in my humble opinion.

This was an original movie with good acting. There were some humorous scenes as well as some sexy scenes. For as many times as they were getting it on, it would have been nice to see a little more skin from the lovely Carmen Electra. Some parts of the movie including the ending were a little predictable, and some of the predicaments the male gets into were a little too convenient or seemed to be the stereotypical behavior of males in general rather than what you would expect from this specific character from what he had already shown up to those points. The "Sperm Guys" were hilarious and ingenious to add. Overall, this movie was good for a few laughs, some brief nudity, an original concept, and watching a relationship go full circle from meeting all the way to marriage and children.

WOW! it's a very nice movie! a must see, a lot of comedy but makes us see our lives from a different point of view! a point of view of an alien, he could better understand us than ourselves.A woman likes to see one person dying slowly. A man like to see a lot of persons dying quickly. That's the human movies preference from the point of view of the alien. I think the guy is right!A woman would like to see a movie for a small cute child dying with cancer, while a man would like to see a huge meteoroid hitting the planet earth :)

This movie is great fun. Especially when viewed within a gathering of 20-something's. Just sit back and watch'em squirm! The narrator has a dead-pan voice which actually makes this mocumentary all the more amusing. The sequences of sperm running full tilt and SPLAT!-ting into the wall are hilarious! While this is not necessarily just for mature audiences, the extraterrestrial anthropologist gives you an outside peep into the human dating scene. So use your own discretion. This attempt is wonderfully entertaining, and delivers a witty, wry sense of humor in higher than MST3K style. We completely enjoyed this production, and watch it often. It rates an 8.3/10 from...the Fiend :.
