... View MoreBeing in the mood to watch a short cartoon just before I set off to bed,I was pleased to spot an interesting-sounding 1915 animated short being mentioned on IMDbs Classic Film board, which led to me getting ready to take a sip of the magic brew. The plot:Sitting in a bar smoking & drinking,a monster suddenly pops out of a mans head.Initially thinking that the monster will join in the drinking, the man soon discovers that the monster has other plans.View on the film:Running at 36 seconds instead of the 3 minute running time that IMDb list, director Victor Bergdahl makes every second count by using a thick felt tip pen style which gives the short a feeling of being pulled straight from a newspaper.Along with the charming newspaper feel,Bergdahl also delivers a surprisingly early message about alcoholism, with the magical brew/drinks being shown to contain an evil spell.
