... View MoreIt's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
... View MoreJust watched this animated short by Piotr Kamler on YouTube as linked from Cartoon Brew. This was another of his seemingly abstract films that are connected by seemingly unrelated sequences as this one starts with short bursts of scenes that get connected later on. The images are of a couple of put-together objects walking a little back and forth on a tight rope, several small creatures pulling a rope which balances something bigger which is balancing several things on it's head before we stop at the top which has a hotel and two men inside playing chess, then there's a burst of orange light in between those men...I've just described much of this short but I didn't even mention many strange sounds that provide the score. Okay, what I just said probably didn't make much sense to anyone reading this and I admit that I don't really know what the point of the whole thing is but still, this was quite fascinating to watch and so if you're a fan of the unusual, Coeur de secours comes highly recommended.
