A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

This is the John Millea (Dirctor) how-to guide of making something that really, really stinks. I can't imagine that anyone read this script because it is just too bad to even be believed. The scheme that C. ("Don't See") Thomas Howell has to come up with in this convoluted, poorly acted, poorly directed, and poorly shot piece of celluloid disease (see, I used the title of my summary in the review) is so unbelievably stupid that I'm thinking that development execs must now be patrolling head-trauma units to find new material. They can't even get some decent looking chicks to show us some gratuitous sex in this. Did all the gyms in California shut down for some time? I thought people in California worked out. The dialogue is something you just can't even comprehend, it's so bad. Whoever the director was, please someone call John Millea and find out if he's on suicide watch, 'cause if I had made this, I'd be out on a ledge about now. What a horrible, horrible, pieced together piece of junk! John, next time you want to make something good, from a script that's won awards...call me. Oh, but you'll have to interview for the job...I mean...come on.

The Grind is neither erotic, nor a thriller. It's poorly written, and degrading to women. It's so awful it gives me a headache just thinking about it.The storyline has been done before: mental midget flimflammer owes money to the mob. Does it really make any difference which mob? Not really. Not these days.To make money so he can pay off the mob flimflammer Luke steals credit card numbers and names from folks hitting a Web site he puts up: hotgirlsinahouse.com. Yet, the girls aren't hot. Not only that, Luke has to motivate them to get hot. And they're still not! They're stereotypical. And according to all the screen writing masters, stereotypical is a no-no.Luke has one week to pay the mob. No one in the real world who has just put up a Web site can make enough money in a week to pay their rent, let alone pay off the mob. Oh, and none of the credit card holders have reported their cards/information stolen? The Grind is another one of those movies where it appears the writer/director is attempting to fulfill his personal sexual fantasies on film and in public. And when a man does that, his loins and ego may not suffer, but his screenplay sure does.

FUN! This was a fun ride with twists, turns, and Action! Though the overall feel is an erotic Thriller this film has some great scenes! NOT, usual for the genre. Eric Bruskotter(Starship Troopers) Has this ridiculous dark edgy scene with eve Mauro. Another scene to Mention is between Gichi Gamba, Christine derosa, and Sarah SCott....CRAZY! I won't give details to spoil it...But, ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT! If you want interesting dark Characters Lots of foul Language Nudity and a fun ride...This is for you. Entertainment for the true indie types. Michael welch from Twilight is AWESOME in this! Tom Sizemore is Tom Sizemore- A true gem! I feel the whole cast is strong! Brent Briscoe (A simple Plan) even does a cameo!

This movie promises to be quite good...the cover would give the impression that there are colourful characters within like those in Snatch and maybe a quirky storyline like The Usual Suspects. It definitely has all the ingredients to be quite good but falls short of the mark. Without giving away what little storyline there is (reading the back of the DVD jacket will give you 80% of it anyway), I will just say that, for me, this was not very good...almost bad. It looks as though someone who enjoys Guy Ritchie movies and Tarantino flicks has decided to shoot their own talkie and then remembered halfway through that it should have a story and then realised about 3/4 way through that the story has to do something or go somewhere. Note to writer/director: write story first THEN shoot movie. Visually is was nice too look at and even OK to listen to...I liked all the actors, especially Michael Welch, but no one could save this...they simply had nothing to work with. Still worth a look, just to see if John Millea's next effort is any better...but, don't expect a Pulp Fiction as this is no Reservoir Dogs. 6/10
