Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

I'm brand new to this site and I'll admit that I read every review on here before I watched this movie. I should do it the other way around but I sometimes cheat lol. What I noticed about the reviews, and rightfully so, is that they are mostly about the movie in general, but not the main actor. But in this case, the movie (like all movies with the name of the character in the title) IS the actor. Will Klipstine is a great actor. It seems to me his character is misunderstood by some of these reviewers but the critic and other reviewers got it right. His character is very unlikeable in the beginning but as the movie progresses, we see a sheltered, vulnerable child who has zero experience in the real world. His oblivious pompous attitude in the first scenes set up his fall. What's endearing about him is that we discover that he never knew he came across as all those things. He is deeply humbled by external circumstances throughout the film and because of the character's emotional vulnerability, you start to root for him. That's great acting. His epiphany at the ranch and his goodbye scene to the doll are as good as any acting in ANY movie. And the scene when he's talking to his girlfriend (who's also a great actress), in bed is a great, intimate moment where Andrew reveals more about his character emotionally, not with dialogue. Someone already posted about the restaurant scene. Again, the actor is vulnerable, endearing, heartbreakingly childish, and hilarious all at once. I can't say enough about this no-name actor's talent and how impressed I am.

At my first viewing of Evolution of Andrew Andrews I was not impressed. The humor of Evolution of Andrew Andrews is not really my cup of tea but the acting was absolutely superb. I followed it through several different edits at several different film festivals. I not only saw the growth in the characters but a growth in the over all story line. Following the journey of the spoiled Andrew from child like innocents to capable adult success, despite many hilarious setbacks, takes the hand of the viewer in a way that is exceptional in comparison to the normal Hollywood experience. Although obviously an Indy, the humor was richly fresh. Even the out takes are hilarious. This movie must be seen several times and each time something new about the characters comes out.

This is the best Indie comedies ever!! The juxtaposition of a young hollow-head with a group of cold hard headed professionals proves that one person - despite mental limitations - can have more heart than experts in the entertainment industry. It's worth noting that Andrew Andrews, although devoid of most common sense brings to the viewer an enjoyable adventure of trials and personal development that is certain to amuse even the most skeptic of indie comedies. Will Klipstine really delivers in his portrayal of Andrew Andrew's many odd personalities and transformations. This is a movie definitely worth watching over and over again! Hilarious!!

I saw the trailer on youtube and it reminded me a little of The Jerk or Billy Madison. This movie looked kind of stupid or for teens and I'm in my 30's but I read the review by the independent critic so I tried it. Here's the thing: I started this movie and right away, I was not too impressed. The main character is a spoiled rich kid (why should I care) and some of the humor was too immature, whatever. But the actor is really good and his "Bad Acting" was hilarious. Even having said that I would give the first half of this movie a 6. This movie really starts getting good half way through (spoiler alert) when Andrew walks in to the office wearing the tutu and for the rest of the movie is with the girl. She is a great actress and makes this movie a really likable romantic comedy from that point on. The main actor really turns on the likability factor at that point as well and his scene with the doll towards the end blew me away with how good his acting was. The whole movie I was wondering where the plot was going or how they were going to wrap it up. When the final credits rolled (which are worth watching because of the bloopers) I found myself feeling like I just watched a funny, cute, feel-good type of movie. If you don't like sentimental or sappy you may not like it but they put enough humor in there to cover the sap (mostly). Because I give the second half of the movie a 10 and the first half a 6, I'll give the overall movie an 8.I showed the trailer to a friend of mine who said it's not her taste but I explained the romantic part and we watched it together. She agreed that the second half of the movie is better (more romantic) but I actually liked the 1st half better than the first time I watched it. I think this movie grows on you and I think it's because of the two main actors. I noticed some good subtle facial expressions in the acting that I didn't catch the first time. Usually movies that improve upon multiple viewings have a chance at becoming cult favs.
