It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

I am an American who lived in the Netherlands for almost three years. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It's really pretty silly granted but the main characters are a fun group. I can't help but laugh as I write this review. Just thinking of the movie does that for me. I liked seeing the European countryside. There is something about the way the movie is shot that conjures up so many memories for me. I recommend the movie heartily but please don't take it too seriously or you won't have any fun. By the way I have no idea where they got that cover shot for the DVD/video. It's not from the movie! There is another goof that wasn't mentioned. At one point the rear window of the car they are in gets shot up, a few scenes later it's intact!

I was looking forward to this movie. I like road trip thrillers. I like sex, drugs, youth, action and a great sound track. And I was especially interested in taking the movie trip across Europe to see if I recognized any of my own travel spots. From the first scene, however, this movie was unwatchable. What was Guy doing driving on the wrong side of the road? What could possibly have blown up the van that rolled gracefully down a shallow grassy incline? If they're such bad drivers, why would they take a delivery job? And that's just the first scene! Not even bad enough to be campy or silly. Just Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Waste of time. Move on to something... anything else!

The basic premise is ludicrous, but this movie rocks! Nice balance of drama and action, mixed with some outrageous wit and dialog. Great fun. There are two big weaknesses in the story: the requirement that the two guys make stops at certain times in certain out of the way places, and the flawed premise of the wife being held as collateral. Everything else in this movie clicks very well. I thoroughly enjoyed the ending, and yes it was way way over the top, but I like it! Very good acting and directing. I hope to see much more such excellent film making from this director.

Everything this film tried to do is done better - and superbly in "Run Lola Run". The Red Haired Hip Cutie, the critical deadline(s), The Lover in jeopardy, and the "Crime Pays-Sometimes" message. BUT, unlike "Lola", it just isn't believable or well put together. It is a labored knock off that might have worked for me if I had seen it before "Lola" - but it pales in comparison. Yes! The Falling Beetle was nice! But that was about the only surprise in the film. Do yourself a favor and see the Real McCoy - (And the REAL hip Red Head!) - in Run Lola Run!
