The Deepest Depths of the Burrow Trailers

Nychos is an illustrator, Urban Art- and Graffiti artist who became known with his street concept RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT (REM) 10 years ago. The icon of the movement is a white rabbit, which has been breeding since then and has been popping up in the streets all over the globe for the past decade. This is exactly what Nychos thrives for – he travels the world to spread his art and his REM concept. Within the last two years Nychos was accompanied by filmmaker Christian Fischer who recorded these journeys to create a full lenght movie. ”The Deepest Depths Of The Burrow” is a documentary about art, lifestyle and subculture.

For everyone who is interested in catching a glimpse of the passion which lays within the graffiti scene, this documentary is a must see. Its neither about the overall perspective nor a deeper look into some kind of niche. Its about the countries Nychos traveled throughout his graffiti, the special places where he left his mark, the people he shared time and walls with. The documentary captures the love for the art and the lifestyle of the involved artists in a good atmosphere and the filming is really nice. Grab yourself a beer, take a cozy seat in front of your beloved screen and get floated away following the rabbit from snow covered Austria to the sun cloaked shores of Hawaii!

A great movie about art, travelling and culture. I love how the video apart from the art captures the cities and locations it was spot. My favorite part is on Detroit as it shows a city in decline where a lot of things are purely possible because of the outflow of people living in the city. The movie highlights these aspects and fills it with cultural activity. the soundtrack is well chosen and fits perfectly to the images. You can only grasp how much fun people involved in this movie must have had to work on this great documentary. A journey with highly talented artists starting somewhere on the line in sleepy Styria/Austria continuing to places all over the place.... Highly recommended not only to street art enthusiasts.

"The Deepest Depths of the Burrow" is built on graffiti culture as it exists today. This movie brings a great insight to how street art is not only art, but an attitude towards life. It shows the close border between vandalism and arts following the narrator Nychos through places around the world. It would have been easy to have this film be a gallery of street art with a narrator, but it isn't. The cinematography tells the story with a masters touch. However, the movie itself was a bit long. It was less so after watching it a second time. Even for people not interested in graffiti arts, I would recommend watching the movie to get some more exposure to a poorly understood phenomena that crosses cultural lines.

This is pure art and passion. I love this documentary because it reflects every perspective and direction in the scene. Its thrilling, fascinating and the best thing about it is, that it doesn't matter how new graffiti and the lifestyle behind it is for you, you'll learn something with this dacu and it will expand your horizon about art in general. The whole journey and the specific spots they picked are fitting together for a perfect trip through the world and history of graffiti and the excellent filming and arrangement of the scenes is emphasising the whole story. For me its a must see and a docu I will recommend for everyone that is into subcultures and art.
