Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film,like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Oh dear oh dear, bargain basement dvds are us I am afraid, dreadful, dreadful and dire, Australian actors or swiss or German? They could not really decide and kept changing their accents whenever they felt like it, and the sync seems to be out with the speech so perhaps this made the feel of the film non existent, I never felt for anyone in it so again not much to write home about…set on a ship that is also dreadfully designed in a fashion similar to that mr blobby may have built, armed with only machine guns killing strange creatures…if there is anything positive to say about the film its that the creatures, at times, especially during close up, can be quite scary, so if you watch it, do it for that reason only (and the odd bits of gore fest), as the film lacks anything worthwhile for me to remain captivated. Poor all round for me.

Though not perfect this film works. It has all the trademarks of a sci-fi horror film - gore, monsters, action scenes, gruesome endings for the various characters etc, etc. This was a first time for everyone involved in the making of this film, so if certain aspects are not quite right this will explain why. All the great directors and actors first films were highly questionable but with experience comes improvement as I am sure will happen for all those involved here. So, 10 out 10 to the people involved in this film for giving it a go and making the most of the limited resources on offer and making those work. I have read all the reviews relating to this film and whilst some were very helpful and positive, I am convinced that some of the negative ones were written by persons with a grudge against either the cast or crew or both. If not, my suggestion to those people would be to try directing, producing, scriptwriting and acting yourself, it is not always as easy as it appears.

World, this is a warning.This so-called movie's current IMDb rating - 3.6 out of 10 - is an affront to cineastic taste and decency. It is absurdly too high, and will go down. This is one of those movies that have zero reason for existing, whose every aspect of production is A JOKE of derivative and artless incompetence and desperately and despicably amateurish commercialism of the most contemptible kind. There are nary a redeeming value to be found in this piece of offal masquerading as a movie. The main movies it rips off are Event Horizon and Alien, but of course it does so without having any technical competence of any kind, giving the impression that all aspects of the production were presided over by 12-year-olds.The characters are never introduced or established (there IS no characterization), and there is no discernible plot; no explanations for either the zombies or the aliens. Or if there is, it doesn't come across. This movie is physically and mentally painful to look at, and I feel that humanity as a whole must be warned against it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.I would give this movie several minus points if I could. Still, I will say one good thing about it. The zombies (or whatever the bloody hell they were) were well-made. Quite capable gore effects there. But that's all the praise I can muster for one of the absolutely worst movies I have ever seen. Please do not waste time, and especially avoid wasting money, on this screaming stinker. It will have you writhing in agony, and possibly resorting to gnawing off a limb for solace. Please understand: This is not so bad that it's good. It's just plain awfully, unendurably, insultingly BAD.

The Dark Lurking, I never seen any review of it. While visiting a convention there was a shop with special editions of horror flicks, guess what, there was a hologram DVD cover of a movie called Alien vs Zombies. The cover looked great but it was stated uncut so I thought, is it something worth buying. I bought it and luckily didn't regret it. It isn't an original storyline. You can see samples from Pandorum, Alien and Resident Evil. The spaceship is indeed a look-a-like of the Nostromo, flashing lights and sound i mean, the leading lady is a bit of a Sigourney Weaver clone, as do her clothes. But no worry, it's indeed a good storyline, not only about zombies or carriers and aliens but there's something else going on, only revealed at the end. Sometimes it's a bit too much of zombie attacks. But when they attack or the aliens attack it's all about gore. Intestines flying around, heads being shot, you know what you will get when you are just starting to watch it. It never bored me. I definitely would classify it under science fiction horror. A must see.
