This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

Vikram is one of the major asset of this film. Doesn't his performances top-notched, there's a plenty of topnotch films in his carrier, he did the roles Shiv and Kenny both with lots of ease. Anushka is so decent and she did pretty good. Amy looked gorgeous and she didn't exceed her limits. Jagapati Babu's screen presence is not strong but well enough. Lakshmi casted unnecessarily. Nassar, Santhanam, Srinivasa Rao, Sayaji, Sathish and Saranya completed the movie! Daniel Kish (echolocation expert) did an extreme good appearing. A.L. Vijay always try to comes up with a new genre. His direction is quite mediocre and narration could be more interesting if screenplay is good. Pace is quite slow, drama could have been executed more good. Screenplay isn't that bad but definitely edit would have made it worst if Anthony didn't rescued the film with his excellency, he is one of the asset of this film. GV's music and score is good enough.

this is an awesome movie, just wanna say a gift from A. L. Vijay and a cook from Vikram, Jagapati Babu, Anushka Shetty, Amy Jackson and Lakshmi Rai....Just want to thank all of you for such a nice story and a beautiful representation of the message of love, loyalty and trust.....and the piano music of "A Poem For You" is addiction....just don't know how to thank you so that it reaches you, but prayers are with you.....keep it up....u were able to earn blessings and that's the main thing.........Vikram - a GIFT and the rest of them are the bunches of rose.....I would like to see more of such kind in the near future....One more thing i don't understand Tamil at all, i know Hindi fluently... You all can say that a deaf has watched the movie and praised for it....

A good film needs acclaim for every element in it. So let us have a break up review of each and every good element of the movie that has added success to it, Direction: Madarasapattinam and Deivathirumagal fame director Vijay has added yet another new genre this time in his menu. With no influence of style from his movies he gives us a good, moving thriller that picks up speed as the story goes. Simply superb direction by Vijay. Yet another movie joins his victory wagon. Casting:Coming to the lead role Vikram has done a fabulous job, lifting steeply in his career graph after his recent flop flick 'Rajapattai'. He takes up roles in two shades and justifies both. Coming to the lead heroine the beautiful Anushka has utilized her screen space effectively and proves through her matured acting. Amy Jackson does a Barbie doll role; she has got everything to take up as a routine commercial Tamil cinema heroine. Lakshmi Roy to say has done an extended cameo role yet a powerful one. Santhanam comes now and then in the movie and lights his comedy crackers. Nasser and the Telugu actor as the investigation officers have lived up to their roles; of course Nasser's acting skills are legendary. The villain from Telugu has given a power packed performance Kollywood Welcomes you villain sir! This movie has got huge list of supporting cast starting from Sharanya, Balaji,Thambi Ramaiyah, Sujitha, Delhi Ganesh, Shayaji Shinde and the list goes on every one comes for a micro role but has done justice to those roles. Technical Crew: Excellent cinematography by Nirav sha and Music by GV, entire album was good particularly Uyirin Uyirae song was a good melody and Yaradi mohini song reminds us of Nangai song from Engeyum Kadhal. Worth the mention would be the art work in Uyirin Uyirae song on the beach shores was visually sumptuous and the credits to the art director. Story line:Since this is an action thriller I don't want dig the suspense in the movie. In one line it is a revenge movie with a powerful flashback and a cute romance story in it. The new flavour of romance between Anushka and Vikram was so fresh and has come out very well. Final link with the five elements of the nature was brilliant. The echo location was a new concept to kollywood movies. Verdict: New action thriller flick with a romance and revenge flavour with all necessary elements make this movie a worth watch. -Reviewed by Sivakumar Balachandran

Seriously, Director AL Vijay has to stop copying films from now on.His Latest offering Thaandavam's storyline is just a rip-off from the popular movies "Ghajini" and "Ko"The only good part in the movie was the first 30 minutes and Santhanam's comic sequences when he gets caught at the crime scene. When the flashback starts you can see the audience yawning.Songs are not very impressive except for 2 songs.Overall they further hamper the pace of the movie.BGM is awkward at many places. The scenes are very predictable in the second half.I entered the theatre with a lot of expectations due to the earlier success of Vikram-Anushka-GVP-AL Vijay combo in "DeivaThirumagal" but this movie was a huge letdown. It wont survive too long.Better luck next time Vijay! Don't let your next movie worse than this :D :D
