... View MoreSERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
... View Moren my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
... View MoreExcellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
... View MoreA few too many twists and reversals make an otherwise watchable and reasonably intense thriller stretch credibility a little too far. Overall a goodish film, but could have benefited from a tighter, less flabby script, and more assured direction. In the final third of the film I started to get immensely frustrated at the way events were unfolding, and without wanting to spoil anything, I found the ending deeply unsatisfying. However, I don't feel that I wasted my time watching it, although I doubt that I'll watch it again.
... View MoreTwo brothers, down on their luck, fake a disappearance in the Alaskan wilderness so they'll have a great survival story to sell, but the hoax turns out to be more real than they planned. Long, Boring and overstuffed with bad acting and cliches of horror and drama 'Sugar Mountain' lacks the depth of drama and horror to make it's characters likable and when the actors don't care for this specific roles and act why should the audience care as well? (0/10)
... View MoreThis was an enjoyable little film, cast not too bad, but I felt the actors were a little too infantile for their roles. I'm not sure if it was the acting or the screenplay, but I just couldn't take this film as seriously as I would have liked. Jason Momoa was the stand-out performance, but it was missing that wow-factor for me. Not bad, but nothing great either. It's a 6/10 from me.
... View MoreI liked the movie but I admit I may be biased since I live in the town it was filmed in, Seward, Alaska. I thought the story itself was great. The scenery was the icing on the cake. There was one place, in the movie, that I didn't know the location of (the frozen waterfall) but I got a hold of a friend of mine, who plays the part of Miles and Liam's mother in the movie, and she told me where the spot is located. I'm looking forward to hiking to it. The director, actors, and crew were extremely warm and friendly. Everyone I know, including myself, who had the opportunity to meet them enjoyed having them here.If you enjoy a good drama or are curious to see a little bit of Alaska then this is the movie for you!
