Profiling Notre Dame kicker Reggie Ho, who played for one season and helped the team go undefeated in 1988. As a walk-on, Ho received no financial support from the school. He was a pure student-athlete who played for the love of the game and for the love of Notre Dame.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

30 for 30 Shorts: Student/Athlete (2015) Another winning 30 for 30 film from ESPN takes a look at Notre Dame folk hero Reggie Ho who ended up helping the Irish with a National Championship in 1988 but perhaps the greatest thing Ho did was continuously study after games, which led him to become one of the greatest doctors in the country. This short features interviews with co-workers, co-teammates, Lou Holtz and Ho himself as they talk about his career at Notre Dame and what was to follow. Overall this is certainly a fun short as you get to see this extremely small guy work on his skills as a kicker and then eventually make the team. Hearing of how he practiced was quite funny as are Holtz' comments on why he let the kid on the team. This certainly isn't the greatest episode in the series but it at least shines a spotlight on someone who is still certainly remembered in Notre Dame even though he went onto do much bigger things.Episode: B+
