Speed-Dating Trailers

A high-energy romantic comedy that follows three bachelors, speeding through life and scheming on women. When it comes to the opposite sex, it’s about the “chase” and “finish line.” Dog (Chico Benymon, Life Is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story) and Beaver (Leonard Robinson, TV’s Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out) spend their last dime on a nightclub, while Too Cool (Wesley Jonathan, Roll Bounce) devises the ultimate scheme to get women and money – SPEED-DATING!

This movie was labeled 'comedy'? Why? I sat down to watch "Speed-Dating" without having heard anything about it previously. So I watched it with a clean slate and no expectations. However, I was bored senseless throughout the movie and there weren't really that many laughs. The story is fairly straight forward though, as you have a group of young people setting up 'speed-dating' events at their club, in order to meet and hook up with women. Sure, sounds plausible enough, but it came off as a weak result. What was one of the more funny things in "Speed-Dating" was the tranny at the event and also the guy who rarely got to sit down and talk with the ladies. Most of the other characters in the movie were lacking personality and failed to shine on the screen. And that made the movie a rather dull and colorless experience. The cast in "Speed-Dating" was good enough, though no major names here. I think I only recognized Chris Elliott and Holly Robinson Peete here, to be honest. The people in the movie were doing adequate jobs, but no one were memorable."Speed-Dating" failed to impress me and didn't leave any lasting memory at all. It was, for me, the type of movie that you watch once and it will fall into oblivion. For a comedy movie it failed to pack any good punchlines, failed to crack laughs, and failed to be interesting. If you are in for an evening of comedy and fun, you are better off with another movie.I am sure there is an audience for "Speed-Dating" out there, I just wasn't the target audience for it.

This movie has some young actors in it. They also employ a few c-list "stars" for cameos. The target audience is hard to describe... the 7-35 year old, blind and deaf audience would probably love this movie. (I'm not trying to knock on blind-deaf people, only they could like it because they could not experience it.) The acting is never less than sub-par. The plot is absurd. The characters are very anti-gay.Privileged children will think this is a cool movie. It chronicles the story of 3 friends: Too Cool, Dog and Beaver. These guys like to go out and hook up with loose women. They set up elaborate ruses to trick the women into thinking they are meeting someone special. One character seems gay and the other 2 pick on him incessantly. Towards the end the biggest player, Too Cool, sees stars after sex and realizes its the woman of his dreams.
